Sorry I wasn’t able to help out more on the prompt, but I think you all did a great job with this prompt! And special thanks to @jane-maree and @esther-sears for writing the first draft too!

I would be good with writing either of the prompts suggested by Jane Maree and Esther Sears, but if I had to choose I’d go with Jane’s because there seems to be more humor potential with that one. We could tell the story from the POV of the traveler and show how he’s increasingly confused by the way everyone is treating him, then maybe have the…[Read more]

Cool! I’ll try to get you a more definite answer sometime in September when I know how my schedule pans out more, but for now I’ll be thinking of some activities for the worldbuilding to run by you. 😀 -

“Nope.” Ben’s lop-sided grin widened. “My favorite band, only found in my universe actually so kinda a one-universe hit wonder, eh?” He snickered. “Um, do you mind if we…maybe move over by the food? I’m starving…” Shifting from foot to foot he waited for her answer.Amber smiled. This kid reminded h…[Read more]

Yay! A guild prompt I found out about before it ended!!! *happily runs off to find her quill*
I think a fantasy culture clash would be a lot of fun, but whatever the genre, we should probably try to take a humorous spin on this since humor seems to be our strong suite. (Besides, the prompt kind-of invites a humorous take on it, does it not?) -

*commencing random rambling in 3…2…1…*
Hmm…this sounds really interesting and cool, but like Selah said, I’m not sure I can give an adequate amount of time to the area of the guild Jane Maree needs me for. I’ve been pretty absent as of late, and I’m going to be extremely busy this year with school and other commitments. However, I’ve been…[Read more] -

It was a pleasure! I’m looking forward to seeing where we take this storyline; I’m definitely #stillin…or #wantin? I’m not sure which to say. XD -
E.B. Raulands replied to the topic {The Writing Life – Week 12, Martin} Typing vs Writing by Hand in the forum Weekly Theme Discussion 6 years, 10 months ago
I used to be a strictly only-notebooks-on-first-draft writer, but nowadays I think I enjoy writing in both mediums equally well. Like Martin said, the computer is a lot faster; plus, it makes it easier to add new material into the draft and edit. But notebooks are really great for planning or sorting out how certain elements work in the story or…[Read more]

Oh, sorry about that…um, let me try again. The basics of the plot are the same as what’s been discussed already: Mother Goose’s boot is being foreclosed on by Mr. MacGregor, Christopher Robin is a ninja who’s trying to stop Mr. MacGregor, and the three bears are trying to stop Christopher Robin. The major ideas I was suggesting…[Read more]

What if we did something where the three little bears are bumbling ninja-wanna-bees who, due to the deceptions of the Hunter, believe that CR is working with Mr. MacGregor to swindle the poor helpless Mother Goose out of her home. They come up with a plan…[Read more]

I like the idea, but I think the bears should plot to do something else to CR to prevent the foreclosure…like maybe imprisoning him in a glass slipper?

So…I was just on the KP website, and it looks like the entire site has been rebooted (or at least redone since the last time I checked it out). And while most of the activity was at least 4 months old, there was some recent activity in the General Discussion forum. And I didn’t see any disclaimers about the site being offline anywhere; rather,…[Read more]

Well, that’s what my mom used to tell my sister anyways.” Amber looked Ben over again, then tilted her head slightly.…[Read more]

It’s been a long time since I’ve been somewhere like this, she thought quietly. Her eyes wandered along the back wall, noting each elegant lady and sharp gentleman as they passed before her vision. She finally paused her gaze on an extremely tall lady dressed…[Read more] -
