Usually what I do is find one of Audrey’s posts and just copy/paste the whole lump of tags.
-Emotion. Yeah, I could definitely feel Madylen’s emotions inside of her. I think that if I knew more of the backstory I would also become very emotional. I was starting to, to be honest.
-Tenses. The Emily Cunningham person has already fixed most of…[Read more]

@allison-grace Thank you!
@morreafirebird Thanks for the advice. This scene isn’t really part of Hathach’s actually plotline, but it’s part of a series of short scenes I’m doing where each of my characters visit a coffee shop. I’ll make sure to show the virtues and vices through his actions, though!

He closed his eyes. It was the 28th of August, his birthday. Another year gone from the promised fifteen years that he had been told that…[Read more]

Linyang Zhang replied to the topic (Discovery v. Plotting) How much pre-plotting is enough? in the forum Plotting 7 years, 6 months ago

@warrenluther04 I got up at 2 in the morning to get on a three hour airplane, then a sixteen hour plane, and by the time I got there it was the afternoon. Then I half dozed off for 45 minutes and didn’t sleep until 10.

Hmmm… I think…
Factors we should consider:
-Character’s family life and background
-The overall plot and theme of the book
-Other characters
-The antagonist
Hmmm, let’s see…
Sometimes it’s inevitable that people should sin. We’re humans. Characters are human. We all sin. I was watching Code Geass and Lelouch commands Suzaku to live,…[Read more]
