@dekreel Aww! If we didn’t already have cats I’d love to adopt from a center! ๐ย So sweet.ย I thinkย Smaug wins the prize for bestiest white elephant gift. ๐ How is the inking coming along?

@dekreel Ooh that’s so cool! I’ve always loved the idea of having a fish! (Jellyfish would be epic if not for the price..) Haha I love that you named it after a dragon! *chuckles*
We have 5 cats. Several years ago we found a cat (most likely abandoned on the highway) hanging around our door. And we started feeding it.. I think the plan was for her…[Read more] -

@dekreel Ooh, now I’m curious! What kind of pets do you have?

The Fledgling Artist replied to the topic Creation corner in the forum Camp Artifex Art Discussions 7 years, 5 months ago
@dekreel I guess I’m over complicating things haha. I just meant to ask if your family buys presents for each other. Most people do, but I guess I didn’t want to assume haha.
Are you the oldest then? Or your sister?
Yes! I have one older sister, one younger sister, and then a little brother. ๐

@dekreel Ooh, I see! Haha. I actually have to force myself to slow down when I sketch. Just ’cause if I don’t, I don’t end up putting as much effort into it.
Does your family exchange gifts? ^-^ Also, I don’t think I’ve ever asked, but how big is your family?
Right now I’m using Koi watercolors. ๐ Microns are a lot of fun, though, I tend to be…[Read more]

*waves to everyone you tagged* Hola!! (I’m not Spanish. I just like Spanish.)
I’m not sure. I’m waiting for my parents approval to get the game. *glances in parents direction* They’re takingย forever to decide. So for now I’m stuck with just spying.

@dekreel Yay!! You must be a fast sketcher! hehe. My Christmas was good. Kind of weird.. though. My Grandfather passes away last February, so this was our first Christmas without him. It wasn’t a bad Christmas, but it was different. ๐ I always love getting to hang out with our extended family though. ^-^ What about you? Also, what kind of pens…[Read more]

@dekreel Yes! I am an INFP. Probably.. The first time I took the test I got ISFP, and sometimes I relate to that type more then INFP… But only sometimes. ^-^ I think I’m also a T, rather then.. is it A?
(Yay I just finished the first layer for the hair! ;D)

I know I’m late on both counts. Sorry about that. It’s been a whirlwind week. I ended up visiting my family unexpectedly (for fun) and didn’t bring any of my notes along for this week’s weekly lesson thingy.
Until next week, how about we discuss how our Christmas was and any goals/resolutions (especially for writing) we may have? (I’ll post in…[Read more]

Lately I have been contemplating whether there is a pattern to the type of stories that I like to read/write. Not in terms of genre but in the “ordinariness” of the characters (average Joes like you or me vs characters who are bestowed all sorts of great powers/destinies/heritages by authors like you and me) and the level of stakes involved (e.g.…[Read more]
