Sorry I’ve been kind of AWOL lately. I’m volunteering for my younger sister’s band camp. We made it through the first week and have one more left to go! I’ve literally been eating, sleeping, and band camping. Nothing else!

@ajaj2000 I think taking a break is a good idea sometimes. That’s sort of what I’ve been doing. I’m starting to feel that “I should be writing” tickle, but I’m gonna let it sit a little while longer and stew. XD
What do you mean by “character lie”? I am unfamiliar with that term, but super intrigued!
No, He didn’t! 😀 We can do this!!

@wordsmith I have not read Ender’s Game, but I have contemplated it.
Ooh, that is interesting. Something some people would take for granted or just skip over altogether, and you find beauty in it. 🙂 I do love Lewis’s unicorn in The Last Battle. Course, I’m kinda a sucker for Narnia and LOTR period. And I must agree, I am not a fan of horses in…[Read more]

@wordsmith Welcome! Belated, but welcome anyway XD (I’ve been busy as of late.) I hope you’ve found your way around thus far.
What do you like to read and write most? I’m going to guess by your list of authors that you enjoy fantasy. Do you have a favorite creature? Do you have a current WIP? If so, what’s it about?
I would love to learn how to…[Read more]

@brandon-miller Question(s): how did you get connected to SE? Also, you mentioned looking for “serious” writers for the guild. I assume you consider yourself a serious writer, in that case. So, what role do you see writing playing in your life?

I love this line: “So, instead of removing the character, let’s develop him into someone worthy of a spot in your novel’s cast.” I’m not very good with humor, but I do enjoy reading it in the work of others. I think humor is just as crucial an element to character and plot as any other. I love that you don’t call to tear it out, since I bel…[Read more]

@a_small_mousepad My brother has high-functioning autism/aspurgers syndrome. It’s neat to meet others with similar diagnoses. 🙂
@ajaj2000 I haven’t written anything in a few weeks. Or read anything in the last several days. I have been a little busy, but mostly I seem to have lost motivation. :/ Not really sure what to write. But, I did have an…[Read more]

It is a truth universally acknowledged that a bookworm in possession of a sane mind must be in want of Austen!

@ajaj2000 Phew, it was a crazy year when I had methods classes to learn them all! And it’s been a few years since, so I am definitely a lil rusty! XD
@raemarie Research is crucial! I bet you’re finding some interesting stuff. Good luck!

@raemarie I love the Piano Guys!!! Also, Irish and Nordic influences sound amazing!!
@ajaj2000 I’m primarily a trumpet and euphonium player, but I also play a little trombone and piano, a very little saxophone, and know how you’re supposed to play flute, clarinet, tuba, and percussion, but don’t play very well myself. Actually, I don’t play sax…[Read more]

@ajaj2000 Yeah, I’m excited to be closer to my siblings. It’s my sisters last year of high school this fall, too, so I want to be there for her concerts and stuff.
Yes, I left Tennessee to go to school (yes, college :D) in Kentucky and then have lived in North Carolina with my grandparents for the last year. Now, I’m moving back to Tennessee and…[Read more]

@ajaj2000 Ung, not great. I moved some things back to TN, in my storage unit and with my parents, but I still haven’t found a full time job or apartment of my own yet. :/ It’s frustrating but at the same time I know I’m doing all I can. It’s in God’s hands. I’ve got about two weeks left here in NC and I’m going to spend them visiting with my…[Read more]

@graceabounds2129 Hah, I’ve never met anyone else with my name, though, I have heard of another Cora. Never met her, but she was my best friend’s great grandmother. I’ve met tons of Lindsey/says before though.
Oooh! Screwtape Letters is one of my very favorite Lewis books! I haven’t read the others, but I have heard of Daring to Hope. It’s on my…[Read more]
