Avin was in prison when Elsa found him and asked him to help her find the prince, her brother. He first pointed out the difficulties, then broke out and accompanied her. She was NOT happy, and thought he was in prison for a crime. She hurt him a lot, mostly unintentionally, but once on purpose, because he wouldn’t tell her where they…[Read more]

So personally Iâm okay with it đ you do you, if you feel like putting him in then do❤️ And if his attractions are integral to his character background, then donât shy away from it. I trust your own judgement :))
And u gave me a giggle when u pointed out about all the beloved assassins residing here🤣 so true and a good point to mak…[Read more]

@calidris you already alleviated my two objections: That it would be seen as a sin and that he wouldn’t act on his attraction in the castle. I think it would be great to meet another character that you love. I understand your love of Kit already, so bring him on.
@rose-colord-fancy brilliant move to ask Anika and Natalya about siblings. I…[Read more]

Nice drawings of Cal! The hair is really cool.
Thank you! đ
that second picture is Cal to perfection! Her facial expression is just *chefâs kiss*
Thank you! It really captured her attitude XD
I think I can get us out of this one. When the dance is over I have an idea for a challenge, though. Everybody gets into a s…

âAs for where we metâŠâ Kit’s gesture took in Avin’s well-cut clothes. âWell, looks like youâve got some money…”
Sure–now.
“…So you probably know how rich families are â lineage becomes dynasty, marriage becomes power, kids become pawnsâŠIâll just say Val and Iâve been on opposite sides of that chess board since day 1.â He looked at…[Read more]

Haha, I knew it! XD You see, I’m used to writing in omniscient, so to try and write in the character castle gets me into trouble when I try to use others’ characters without knowing them, lol. Do you write in first person all the time, or just here?
That’s a great story for Kit and Valencia! I’m really glad they work it out. It seems…[Read more]

@calidris Okay, sounds good! I didn’t think Valencia was actually afraid afraid, just “afraid” he was going to come talk to her when she wanted to be alone. Just to clarify đ You’re is better because you’re the author (obviously!! lol)
Avin
Mmm what do I do in Spire?â The boy grinned a little nervously.
Wrong question.

This seems like an incredible and wonderful dynamic! Lots of great character development potential there! Just reading that small bit, I want to know what happens next between Malcolm and Ophelia! Hey, feel free to bring Malcolm into the castle too! That would be awesome if he came in and joined the performance! Perhaps replace…

Anika & Natalya
Darkness fell suddenly, as if the sunlight had been cut off by a storm. Anika gasped and stopped in her tracks. Natalya came up beside her, her heavy breathing sounding in Anika’s ear. “What happened?”
“How should I know?” Anika started forward again, groping ahead of her in the gloom.
“We’ll get a tanning if we’re…[Read more]

Avin’s mother was full Colondite (another country which is almost always at war with Vegada), and his father was full Vegadan. He was born in Vegada. The hatred for Colondites is mainly based on Vegadans’ distaste for the country, b/c they are so mean and war-like. (plus negative things like slavery etc. are legal there, and vagabonds…[Read more]

You did great with Ophelia at least! That opens up a really interesting scenario, I can do some fun things with that!
I get upset, though, becau…

@calidris I’m imagining Avin in something like the guy on the left is wearing. Also the picture above, but without those goofy things on the shoulders. Hope this helps!

Avin
The person came into focus. A tall, slim man, younger than himself, dressed in slick, unfamiliar-looking clothing and jewels, surrounded by a fur coat. Avin raided his eyebrows.
There was only a second to see this before the man, who had his head craned around to smile at a woman he apparently knew, slammed into Avin, and stumbled back with…[Read more]

@calidris Oh, Kit sounds like quite the character! I’ll bet he can be fun to write with Valencia.
Avin will be fine. XD I’ll make him be fine–I can do that, you know: the great thing about being a writer. I love talking about Avin, and you’ll probably never read his story anyway so I don’t mind telling it:
He was orphaned at 8, and his parents…[Read more]

@Calidris, IDK where you’re from. That would be 177 cm or 182 cm. (He’s 5’10” or 6′)
(@rose-colored-fancy did I get it right this time? I’m obsessed with trying to achieve a basic ability to communicate via the metric system. XD)

@calidris Okay! Avin is medium to tall (6 ft., maybe. 5’8″, something like that). He has muddy brown hair that is shoulder length and kept out of the way. (I NEVER think of him like this, lol.) He is strong and lithe, and very quick/quiet, since he’s expert in all things woodcraft. He has a chiseled, brown-tanned face with high cheekbones.…[Read more]

@jared-williams I guessed it was Avin! đ
@calidris I don’t know much about your characters, but I’d love for them to interact with Avin, if you’re interested.

That was a fun post! I think I might change Cal’s part in it, as she definitely wouldn’t let Abirami help her XD But it doesn’t really change anything about the story, so that’s not an issue!
Also I think you might have confused two characters! Cal has blue hair, @calidris ‘ Kit is the one with pink…[Read more]
