Avin
The person came into focus. A tall, slim man, younger than himself, dressed in slick, unfamiliar-looking clothing and jewels, surrounded by a fur coat. Avin raided his eyebrows.
There was only a second to see this before the man, who had his head craned around to smile at a woman he apparently knew, slammed into Avin, and stumbled back with a look of surprise.
“Whoops! Didn’t see you there!” He grinned. Avin nodded. “You blend right in, you see,” the man added unconvincingly. He seemed to sense that it wasn’t convincing and changed the subject. “You don’t happen to where we are, do you?”
“I don’t.” Avin answered. “Been wondering myself.” he looked the man over quickly.Everything about him was unfamiliar or a confusion of cultures he knew. Neither Vegadan, Colondite, Kjertan, or even like the tribes of Mendais, though the jewels fit in there. The mysterious Sran Ekkel was the only place he could be from, and the stories he’d heard of it didn’t fit this man.”Where are you from?”
It was a dangerous question, but he didn’t look like a dangerous man. Avin shot a glance at Lorcan, but he was at the other end of the room.
@calidris It wasn’t very long, but I don’t know what Kit’s answer would be, and that was the only question I could think of.
