@samantha-pen: “A passion job for one is a really loose and broad description. Doctors and even accountants can be very passionate about their work. I, for example, want to teach, and I’m very passionate about it!!” ah, let me clarify: by ‘passion job’ I mean a job in which your performance relies heavily on your mood (for example art, wri…[Read more]

@ashira: “It is like writing. I like, never get writers block no matter how depressed I am. ” REALLY!?! wow, you are a blessed being! Man, if I’m not feeling inspired, its SO much harder for me to write… but then again, maybe that just me XD. “And if I still feel down, I push through it knowing there is light at the end of the tunnel.” I’m g…[Read more]

Thanks for all your inputs! 😀 I think I will consider cold/hypothermia since that appears to be the most fitting so far.
Who says this is about Myeongwol? 😛
By the way your point about body-to-body warming is hilarious. (Why have a drowning rescue scene and not mil…[Read more]

@ashira: “The answer is YES. You have no idea, really.” huh… ok. Um, are you sure because, while granted, I haven’t acted, anything that runs of passion is bound to be harder and of less quality when you lack the passion (as far as I know).

@ashira: “You have not convinced me otherwise” well don’t write off my logic yet! we haven’t finished you see ; D. “Having a good income does not mean I will enjoy or be succesful in life anyway.” I 100% agree. “Most definatley! Wouldn’t you!?” eh… maybe. But I wouldn’t make what I’m passionate about my job, heres my issues with passion jobs…[Read more]

@valtmy Oh boy… Sounds like my characters… Last year I ended up googling all sorts of odd things about drowning/helping a drowning person and through it all learned that it is illegal to get a fish drunk in Ohio.
So… My response is I agree with @ashira and @i-david , the temperature would be an easy fix, or hitting their head could be a…[Read more]

I have a character who must, due to plot reasons:
(a) Fall into the sea and be rescued
(b) Be incapacitated for at least a few days (unconscious/severely sick)
(c) Ultimately survive and recover fully from the ordealUnfortunately, my story takes place in a historical setting where a little water in the lungs = death since there’s no CPR etc.…[Read more]

@ashira: “True, but does that make S&S a bad thing? ” Nope, it just doesn’t make it a ‘good’ thing XD.
“But as to point two, why would I go for something I am less passionate about? I went for not because I felt it was the best way to convert or inspire people, but because I was both passionate about it AND it had the potential to do t…[Read more]

Thanks you guys! <3
Thank you. 🙂 For the second one I used a black charcoal pencil for the body and edges of the wings, and then I used watercolors for the wings.
(And thank you. That’s my nephew. 🙂 )
No, that made perfect sense! Thanks so much for the tips. 😀 I’ll have to use those.

@ashira: alright, well then, for point 1: we can deduce (hehe, I like saying deduce XD) that you have not experienced any meaningful change specific to S&S and thus, at least in your experience, it has no inherit life-changing abilities that other organizations and activities lack.
in regards to point two, why would you claim this orga…[Read more]

theinconceivable1 replied to the topic Hi, in the forum Introduce Yourself 7 years, 9 months ago
@ashira: ok well, in regards to point one, you agree then that this ‘change’ you experienced was not specific to S&S and that, should have been immensely interested in something else, say carpentry, a carpentry school could have been able to bring about the same change…
“But I think God had chosen to use S&S in many peoples lives.” so your s…[Read more]
