I don’t think I’ll be able to be online for the rest of the week. . . going to Mt Rushmore tomorrow and staying until this Sunday. I don’t think there’ll be any WiFi, I don’t know for sure. Just thought I’d let y’all know. . .

I’m glad to hear that! It is different from any other story I’ve been a part of so I think that’s why it makes it fun for me.Are you guys still able to do this story? I understand if you are not able to. It has been a while and I understand if you joined \started other story’s and don’t have enough time. I just need to know.😉

Let’s see, what should we do now? Maybe they go down to the river to drink, the river floods, and Akaya is lost (and found later in the story for added drama,) ?

K, Let’s do this!
Farley looked over her shoulder and saw that Silent was back. She turned to Akaya, “I think we need to go.” She said ” Something still isn’t right. I can feel it.”
Akaya cocked her head sideways “Is it the giant lizard hovering outside?”
“No” Farley replied “I had a talk with her…well I met her. She can’t talk but she is friendly. Anyway , we need to go .”
“I’m all for that” said Akaya who was still squished in between the roof and the floor. “Let’s go.”
Farley trotted toward the exit, then winced realizing that the hedgehogs quills where still lodged in her side. The hedgehog. Farley turned around. “We’re going now if you want to come.” She said to the hedgehog “I don’t think it’s safe here.” Farley turned and trotted the rest of the way. At the edge she saw that the most of the rubble had filled the chasm and there was still a nine-foot drop to solid ground. She looked behind her and saw Akaya laying directly behind her, eyeing Silent cautiously. Farley grinned and started to edge down the wall, her paws searching for a good foothold. About two feet down her hind paw got tangled in a root and She tried to shake loose, but then her front paw slipped. “Nonono!” She yelped and was sent sprawling to the muddy bottom. She flipped mid-air and landed on her face. She looked up to see Akaya edge forward and drop lightly to the ground. Farley frowned, “well I’m glad to see you had no trouble getting down.” Akaya stretched her stiff legs and shook herself. “Me to.” She said with a smirk. Farley stood up with a grumble.
“I’m parched” said Akaya “Let’s go to the river.” Farley froze. No, something wasn’t right. Not the river.
Danger her mind warned her, It’s not safe.
But she was thirsty, and the closest stream was a mile away.
Danger
Let’s go said Akaya. Still, Farley hesitated. “Farley?” Akaya asked, ” are you ok? ” Farley glanced around
“It’s just…no everything is fine. Silent, so you want to come?”
Akaya seemed to have forgotten that Silent was there and did a double take. “Silent? That’s… her name?” Farley nodded.
