Lol you’re good. I think…maybe a mix of two and three.

Fun Fact: Miles’ sword was forged by ***** (I have no idea what yet) but basically it was forged long ago for the King Gabor. After Gabor died, his wife took up the sword and escaped to Parvus. Years later, Miles comes along, takes up the same sword, and begins a war on Saevus. The Fun Fact here is: If anyone not the heir to the Throne of Gabor touched the hilt and tried to take up the sword, they will burst into flames and die.

What about…if someone who is literally fireproof touches it…? *side-eyes Alessio who instantly pretends he hasn’t been eavesdropping this whole time while considering touching that sword just for experimentation purposes 😉✌️*

Oooo…I could drop in Lord Magus Foedus, the Emperor Saevus’ best witch you could say…he could could force the mirror to show itself, but it would take longer than Saevus forcing Lord Castle to show himself

He had been sleeping for so long. At least, those were the facts. He felt as though he had only been there for a few seconds. However, a single person, wearing a what looked like a fox mask, awoke him. Instead of the industrial city, an image which lingered in his mind for some reason, there was a small, rural house. Apparently, time hadn’t been kind to the home.

The fox masked kid, who showed signs of being a dragon changeling (having dragon heritage at the least. Power to manipulate nether), was sharply dressed, but mainly wore colors that reminded him of playing cards. There was also a girl, a fairy, dressed suspiciously similar (although the colors of her outfit weren’t as bright and flashy as the boy’s. Magic user. Limits…unknown). Last of all, there were two others, both male, handcuffed together. The younger of the two appeared to be seventeen (a fire user. Damaged heart), but the other looked a bit older and…different (no powers. Moderate threat).

They were in one of the mirrors, all of them obviously against their will. He’d teleport them out.

She remembered how she first met Saga. As a child, Crorie was branded on the left half of her face by a member of her family (she didn’t know who). Since then, she was despised by her family, who neglected her. When Crorie’s family started to run out of money, she had been sold to her stepfather, who worked in a traveling circus. Because of her disfigurement, her stepfather put her on the freakshow. Crorie was often beaten by observers and was constantly locked in a cage. Her half-brother, Rook, who worked there as a fire trickster, often brought her extra food in secret. He tried to get closer to Crorie, but her connection to him was rather weak. That is, until Saga came. When he arrived, he soon convinced Rook to help free her. Together, they helped her escape the circus, Rook getting the key for her cage, while Saga made a distraction (taking everyone’s money and sabotaging performances was a rather good diversion). Wanting his “property” back, her stepfather called the police to find Crorie and Saga. To protect her, Saga hid her in the underground of an opera house, while he ran to the forest outside Mithril. He’d still come to see her, sometimes accompanied by a family member.

Eventually, after two years of hiding there, Crorie learned how to sing like the performers on stage. She also discovered that her disfigurement, a brand of a rose among thorns, was magical. Unlike the rest of her family, she could use magic because of the branding. She was hated, because it was a gift that the others didn’t have. Of course, Saga and his family didn’t care about the brand. It didn’t affect how they saw her. They treated her like a decent individual. Although, she let part of her hair grow long enough to hide the injury. With this newfound freedom, Crorie learned sword fighting from Saga’s Mother, while his Father taught her tracking and thievery. After all that time, she had her personhood back.

Unfortunately, when Anemone destroyed Saga’s home, her parents soon found her. Instead of sending her back to her stepfather, they chose to use her as their source of income. Her music stopped being her passion and soon became empty. It lost the devotion she used to put into it. Like that, she lost her identity and became more like a machine that would do whatever it was told.

When Sherlock needed her skills and talents to catch Arsene, she just went with it. She then met Arsene, who had resorted to theft to rebel against society. Meeting him again on the boat only made her frustrated. She felt as though Arsene had abandoned her. Even after everything, Arsene was free, while she was still a prisoner. Arsene claimed to desire to set her free, but it was different from what Saga offered. She didn’t know whether she would truly be free to be her own person with Arsene.

Waking up, Crorie was greeted by the sight of a magnificent, busy city. It looked like Mithril to a degree but was far larger and more cluttered. Also, the crimson and blue sky made it easy to deduce that it was a completely different place. Even though it was day, there were still stars in the sky, with a dimmer sun.

              What happened?

(Well, they’re now in Amnesia’s city. Good luck!)

Me at Alessio; ‘I can’t with this guy’*

Oooh that could be fun!!! Then we’d have to KILL Lord Foedus afterward and that’d scare all our characters!!!! Lol jk! That could be pretty wicked cool.

“I am King Miles Regulus of the Kingdom of Pietes.” The young man replied, and he certainly at the air of a royal. Not quite the same level of arrogance most nobility showed, not as serious and tense as Leander either, “I have no idea how I got here, I was in the middle of attacking the city of Arx Gravicus when…I found myself here.”

King Miles was a strange one by Nathar’s rubric. Looked too idealistic to have managed real politics, must be a new ascent to throne. Wouldn’t be long before he found himself in corruption.

“So tell me, how do we attack this thing that is forcing us to do stuff?” Oh he was exciting, like a pup. Nathair wasn’t sure what to do with that level of pure-hearted enthusiasm other than stuff it in a box like a crime.

Play along. As long as he’s on your side they all have their quirks…

“To be honest we haven’t quite worked out that part yet,” Nathair said with something of an amused smile. “I suppose we should start with seeing if there’s some sort of passage out of this room…”

Caleb leaned back. He had hit his head. He was in a cave. He still had all his gear. This had to be a dream. Or the beginning of the afterlife. He was definitely not at home. A hussar in full armor, quite possibly a guide to heaven, was talking to others nearby. Probably others like himself. Well, he had had a good life. His family would miss him but he couldn’t change the past.

“So tell me, how do we attack this thing that is forcing us to do stuff?”

                  What?

“To be honest we haven’t quite worked out that part yet, I suppose we should start with seeing if there’s some sort of passage out of this room…”

Caleb saw a chance. He wasn’t dead yet, right? He must have just slipped into a cave system. Why the others were here he would figure out. The tunnel he had entered was sealed now by rubble. Picking up his axe, he heaved it over his shoulder. He could still breathe easy. Oxygen had not all been used up yet. There was also a gentle flow in the air. There was an exit to the system somewhere. Caleb counted his blessing for being a worker. He heard plenty from others about their own trades. It was scattered knowledge but it was better than none. Miners talked about using canaries too but he would have to make due without one.

“Well if anyone knows what they are doing, let’s get going.”

Miles nodded and looked around. There was a slight draft in the room, signaling that there was an exit. He licked his finger and stuck it into the air. The draft seemed to be coming from his left…but what was that noise to the right?

Miles looked to the right, just as a young warrior carrying a battle ax stepped into view.

“Hello, stranger!” Miles called out. “What is your name? And where did you come from?” He asked.

“Hello, stranger! What is your name? And where did you come from?” Asked the hussar.

Caleb was remembered his manners. He saluted similar to tipping a hat with a short bow.

“My name is Caleb Leckie, good sir. I hail from Lestram, a shire of Koral. How I got here exactly escapes my mind. I would like to return home if any of you happen to know the way.”

It was more formal than Caleb liked. He did most of the grunt work while his father handled the word play with the hiring lord. It was a system he preferred as less troublesome to himself. Formalities were complex and quite frankly confusing. Talk simple and work hard. It was close enough of a motto for Caleb.

                        Instinct kicked in.

                        Literally.

Alessio kicked Hades in the face.

Reflexively, he spun himself over the handcuffs and landed in a crouch to dodge being thrown off balance with his confines. He was going to kill Alessio, Alessio had zero doubt. All he could do was disorient the man long enough to get the cuffs off! He tried to land a blow to his enemy’s stomach but not fast enough. Before Alessio could think what new torture he was in for the world shifted again entirely.

Shiny, dizzying bustle of noises and motions, overwhelming and hectic. Alessio froze, panting like a dazed, feral puppy. He stared, starstruck, at the sunrise, painted sky – relief and terror shuddering through him. He was so so relieved he could actually see the sky, enclosed spaces were so bad for him.

There were stars out, just sparkling through. Maybe one of them was once Nithel, and the idea that someone like him was watching over…

His hand tugged slightly and Alessio hurled a kick across the assassin’s feet, simultaneously using the momentum snap his thumb, hissing with pain. He tried to pull his hand free with the extra space created by dislocating his thumb but somehow it was just as tight – tighter even.

Alessio panicked and yanked his hand but that only shot pain through his arm. He bit his lower lip with a stifled whimper, anticipating the slightest motion before an attack.

Hades was hardly able to process what happened, when Alessio kicked him in face. A kick to the mask. Annoyed with Alessio’s antics, almost more than the fact he was handcuffed to his target, Hades grabbed Alessio by the leg. Although he didn’t power up his gauntlets, Hades punched Alessio in the face.

“Don’t ever get anywhere near my mask. Do you understand?” Hades said in a sharp voice.

Now to access the situation. They were teleported twice. Once they entered what had been called the Trial of Fear and Cowardice, Hades found himself soon handcuffed to Alessio. He didn’t know how everything happened at once. He was now in a city. It didn’t look like anything he had seen. It wasn’t Omicron and it wasn’t Earth. He was as good as lost.

Now to meet the requirements he’d need. His father had taught him what to do in order to survive. Shelter was first, because the elements could kill you sooner. Water was next, because you wouldn’t be able to live long without it. Food was last, because you could last longer without it.

Of course, there was the issue with Alessio. He couldn’t just walk away, thanks to these handcuffs. All this time, Hades had tried to melt them with stardust, but it didn’t work. Whatever these handcuffs were made of, they wouldn’t break due to energy. According to the code of honor he lived by, Hades could not kill Alessio like this. If he had quietly chosen to assassinate him, Hades could have, if Alessio hadn’t discovered him. As an Ehrenvoll Knight, Hades was allowed to preform assassination attacks, assuming his target didn’t see him. If he was seen, it required combat. No exceptions.

“Heal your injuries and rest. After we get these handcuffs of, we’ll settle the matter.”

Hades didn’t think Alessio had too many injuries, but he wasn’t sure. Looking up at the sky, Hades saw a storm brewing.

                          Better hurry.”

Before Alessio could recover, an explosion of pain blasted his jaw.

“Don’t ever get anywhere near my mask. Do you understand?” His enemy snapped, sharp enough Alessio flinched, more from that than the bruise forming around the side of his face.

“What happe…?” He was going to actually ask what would happen if he did touch the mask but faded off.

“Heal your injuries and rest. After we get these handcuffs off, we’ll settle the matter.”

“So you won’t kill me as long as we’re handcuffed together?” Alessio asked warily, mechanically relocating his thumb with medical expertise. Ah the days when that used to be theoretical knowledge. The man didn’t immediately attack him in response so that was…something.

Very tentatively, Alessio poked the man’s side, just to prove to himself he wouldn’t instantly DIE.

He leapt back but his opponent didn’t kill him so he poked him again. And again. And again until the man glared at him and Alessio flinched and stopped.

“Yeah I’ll just spontaneously heal my injuries, that should do it,” Alessio grumbled under his breath – loud enough for his would-be assassin to hear. “That always works.”

He rubbed his side, where the man punched him in their last fight. It still stung to the touch, but it wasn’t bleeding so there wasn’t much he could do about it. Not the least because he’d broken a couple ribs before. It took several seconds to register how much his body ached and discern injuries from fatigue.

Mostly uninjured…at least nothing was bleeding so by that rubric he was uninjured.

So he dropped cross-legged on the ground and set to work on the handcuffs, consciously ignoring Scary Professional Murder’s presence as he tried to pick the locks. Which was hard to do since he had to actually turn so he could see Sir Scary to actually focus on the handcuffs they were both handcuffed with.

“By the way, thanks for your much appreciated help, Arsene, I’m so glad you tried to intervene before I got murdered, thanks for that!”

He doesn’t care about me anyway he hates me he hates me he’s just using me he hates me he hates me the whole world hates me…

Picking the lock wasn’t working. Alessio glared at it in frustration.

“Hey! Use your power and magic these out of existence will you?”

Arsene had just registered everything, when the boy said. “Can you magic these handcuffs out of existence?”

Ugh, he had already used his power so many times, might as well. Clasping the chain, Arsene activated nether. Attempting to eradicate the handcuffs, Arsene tried to lighten the mood.

“So…What’s your name?” Arsene asked the boy.

                              “Not telling you.”

Anyone else probably would have been annoyed, but Arsene saw this as opportunity. Smiling, the professional (kinda) bandit smirked. “I’ll call you by a girl’s name if you don’t tell me your actual name.”

Also, why were the handcuffs not vanishing?

“I’ll call you by a girl’s name if you don’t tell me your actual name.” Arsene smirked. And now it was a dare. Alessio stared at him flatly.

“Ok, Sarah.” Alessio stated, with just the barest hint of mischief in his voice.

Oh no, this was going to go back and forth, wasn’t it? Okay, he could tolerate it. He had disciplined himself years so that he couldn’t be angered immediately (Key word). However, there was only so much one person, disciplined or not, could take. After five long minutes of this stupid debate, Hades put up with as much as he could take. “Hey!”
