We do have the thumbs up to put together a guild video call. (*dignified grin*)

So. Rather than complete mayhem, I thought maybe we could come up with some kind of agenda for these calls.

I think for the first one, it would make the most sense to just chat, introduce ourselves and get to know each other. And if that proves to be successful, I think it would be cool to have a specific topic (for discussion) or activity (i.e. collective story brainstorm, flash fiction writing prompt, etc…) that we could do as a group. Again, I want to be chill, but I do want to make sure we’re being useful with these new things that we’re trying out, and make sure that they will add to the existing purpose and function of the forum.

Trying to get a large number of people from multiple time zones into the same call will probably never work entirely, so I don’t have to be the only one to start or initiate a call. But they should be purposeful, regardless if I’m ‘hosting’ or not. *thumbs up*

As for choice of platform, I think our biggest two choices are Messenger and Hangouts. They are simple, easy to navigate, and usually accommodate a fair number of people. I suppose if we have to, we could resort to Skype, but I’m not inclined in that direction. It’s not too terribly hard to change my mind, however. XD

What I’m asking for in this thread are ideas for call topics and activities that we could do as a group that would be facilitated by being able to see each other and interact in a live setting.

In addition, if we could choose between Hangouts and Messenger, then I can get a group started and we can start to hammer out what times will tend to work best for those interested.

As I said in the thread about live chats, if you are not interested in being a part of any video calls, simply make that known to me. 🙂
