Hello Ereki! Welcome back after our refreshing holiday break! *looks around at a sea of faces that have clearly been fed by many cookies; checks pocket mirror, grimaces*

Humbug. About time for some goals, I say. XD

Just kidding! I trust you all had a wonderful Christmas celebration (of whatever kind that your family does) and that you’ve become accustomed to the lurking unease that an odd-number year brings with it. It’s going to take a while to become comfortable with that 9 at the end of 2019. *glares at the offending digit*

Again, kidding. 2019 is going to be a great year. If we make it one. Which we can. Trust me. With God, all things are possible.

To cast aside the mantle of jokes and silliness, I’d like this first week (highly abbreviated, I know… HOW did it become Wednesday already???) to be marked by stating some longer-term goals that we would like to accomplish during the year. It’s fine to post your weekly goals as well, but I think it would be fantastic to learn what all of you hope to do in your writing journey this year. Or life goals. New Year’s resolutions can be pretty handy things!

Upend your goals and dreams, dear friends, and share them with us all! Let Erekdale unite as one as we march into this new year.

My goals:

• eat healthy (i know how, i just don’t; so this is something I’m going to work on)
• sleep better (what’s a bedtime? oh, normal people have bedtimes? huh. i should probably make one of those… and stick to it)
• write 30 minutes daily (original composition, editing, posting in the forum, journaling – any form of writing)
