what if it was from a curator’s point of view…. like, he’s in there with her every day, and he sees her, and goes home to write in his journal about how his day was and she stood out. Or the next day he might have told some kids visiting about how she’s always watching, but not going to tell your secrets (that would be from the sly smile), and/or he starts writing to her, saying silly things like how often they’re alone together, how she stands out from the rest of the paintings, how he likes that she’s so patiently kind and always listening… something like that. He gets a kick out of sarcastically writing to/about her, and makes himself laugh because of her. That would be written, I think, from his diary entries, mostly…
