@anne_the_noob14… I think one of the biggest issues with the TV show is that Michael Landon seemed to handle the part more like he was a celebrity than the character in the part.

Ooooh, a lovely tale of honor and what it means. Of family love, and how it applies. Thank you, Cassie. I love how clear the world it around the character, how engaged his mind is with the reader, and the clarity with which each decisions is made, even in confusion.
I make note of this as I prepare my own stories.

🙂 So glad to be of service…
Now… I’m pretty sure that tactic makes the story omniscient… because an omniscient narrator looks in on the mind of the character, from the outside. This means he can actually do it with any character, though… this is hard to balance. An omniscient narrator can stick with primarily one…[Read more]

@anne_the_noob14… *bows* I am glad to be of the service of making my point clear. I hope nothing else was to be expected. 😉
@ariella-newheart… Quite so. To expect the unexpected all the time is a losing battle. One that cannot be won, and thus must let slide be. We prepare what we can and trust God that He has us ready forefather He gives…[Read more]

@ariella-newheart… though Livi and I are enjoying quite a debate… please don’t hesitate to step back in and interrupt us. *smiles* I greatly look forward to whatever you have to say. And if it comes down too it, Livi and I can even take our debate elsewhere, as it holds lesser precedence to true writing discussion.

@anne_the_noob14… Again, I believe your argument fails to logically debunk my own, and in and of itself fails to hold itself up. For you argue against a straw man, one put up by yourself it would seem.
In dealing with the alien, or murderess Livi, I quote myself: It might be ‘“known” as something that could happen, but only by fantasy or ext…[Read more]

@anne_the_noob14… ah. Alas, I am disappointed my pinto bean example didn’t work. I guess I was working to far within the realm of possibility. But! Here you show the weakness of your argument. For in the example of the bean… what you show is the realm of possibility, as far as you know. You explain it to a T… which means all of it can be…[Read more]

@anne_the_noob14… Ah, but it seems you missed something. There is no expected that becomes un-expected. It is merely something else that is equally unexpected. It is something you didn’t see coming. Because throwing the coffee beans is something known it is expected, but for the fact that it would not be me who throws the coffee beans. This…[Read more]

@anne_the_noob14… The moment you expect the unexpected the unexpected is suddenly expected and something else comes and knocks your feet from under you. *munches on a bean… a pinto bean*

@anne_the_noob14… I would not throw a coffee bean at you. But thank you for those. *nods*
@ariella-newheart… Cool! I REALLY look forward to reading it. I am currently putting my mind into limited third mode, as opposed to omniscient… and it’s cool.

So… I don’t know if I have anything to share with ya’ll yet… anyone have anything they’d like to have read? Maybe a special scene or perspective… maybe just simple writing they’re working on?

Hola! Thanks! And no worries. I haven’t been able to think about starting an FB page in quite a while. I mean, I got sick shortly after starting this topic. And things haven’t gotten back in line, 100 %. BUT! I’m here… I’m back.

Hey! Thank you for thinking of me… Sadly… I gotta say no. *sighs* Again, thank you. But for now I am needed elsewhere. In otherwords… my time needs me.
Adios, and fare well.

Hey… I don’t feel that great… so I’m just gonna leave a quick acknowledgment of what you said, then I’ll leave a link on omniscient third vs limited.

And I find that some of the people I gather the most energy from are introverts. Extroverts can just be too needy *says the pot calling the other pot black*.
Hmmm… I feel like this needs some clarification… but I can’t think of good clarification… so until someone comes by and says something to help me clarify it I’m going to retract it.

Thank you for your comment about my description. I appreciate that. And to all your comments… the validation and help with typoes.
You mention yourself being an extroverted introvert, and I just want to send a little comfort your ways saying that we do need introverts. And in addition, extroversion and introversion aren’t how…[Read more]

@banana-peacock-warrior, hola!
I actually really like this question… because it brings into play an interesting dynamic that I don’t get to experience often. So… keep in mind that I come in from a different place with different circumstances, but hope my thoughts offer some help.
I get that we don’t want to hurt people’s writing. That’s key.…[Read more]
