One way to make your villain a little more original/not just your stereotypical confused dude is to make themΒ misunderstand, not misunderstood. This way, they are legitimately bad. But, they still have a growth process to go through, not everyone else conforming to their wrong ideals.
I don’t know how much this really pertains to the topic, I…[Read more]

I figured out what my problem was π The subscriber form was working, just not for me, since it had already popped up once on my site, and cookies and all that stuff. At least I’m 99% sure that’s what the problem is, after reading the fine print.
Thanks for your help, though, guys! Even if it turned out the problem was just me not reading enough…[Read more]

Ok… so, I think I got the welcome email set up, but I’m having more issues π The pop-up I created isn’t showing up on my WordPress (.wordpress.com) site. I tried using the MailChimp widget and the arbitrary HTML widget, but neither was working. Do I need to use Jotform or something like that for MailChimp and WordPress to work…[Read more]

@jane-maree is thisΒ Sprig of Green story at all related to the one that you had on KP like a year ago?
My Characters:
MC – Cotter Embrose
Cotter is my antihero. He’s an orphan, bitter from the loss of everything knew. He was adopted by Sir Sabilon, the Prince, who raised him and educated him through the Academy. Cotter grew in strength and…[Read more]

I can definitely see what you’re saying in a lot of these things. Here’s my two cents…
1. I am not a student of structure or plot (which I probably should be), so I can’t critically review something in this area. Also it’s been like 5 months since I’ve seenΒ The Greatest Showman, so I may be forgetting stuff. But, that being said,…[Read more]

All righty…Β I finally bit the bullet and got Mailchimp for one of my blogs. Which I’m super excited about! But also, I have no idea how to use it π
My first question, as it is currently the most pertinent, is how do you send a certain response email to people who just subscribed to your mailing list? I figured out how to do the popup part,…[Read more]

Aaaaah, @jane-maree , I needed this yesterday (which is fortunately when I read it, I just haven’t had time to reply ’til now). I was having a super stressful awful first day of college, and was in between classes. I saw your post and was like,Β When will I ever have time to implement this? This is so fun, guys!! ^_^ I love all your different plots, especially the retellings. They sound super cool!
My current WIP’s~
1.Β The Tenderfoot’s Progress (title still tentative) – it’s a devotional book, drawing from lessons I’ve learned from riding horses and working/playing with cows and all that sort of fun stuff. Showing my journey as a…[Read more]

I think that this is a really great reminder, so thank you. That being said, I wanted to add that my time on SE may be slightly limited due to the awful wifi at my college π I will definitely try to get on a couple times a week, as I found a place where the wifi is better. Hi! Welcome! I’m Skye π
It’s so awesome you’re writing a book set in the 1870’s! That’s like, my favorite era of history. In fact, the past three years I’ve went on a week long authentic wagon train experience (sans the high chance of death)(most days). So, if you have any questions about concerning some of that stuff – like driving…[Read more]
