Welcome to our first topic about story theory that isn’t talking solely about theme!!! *throws confetti* Okay, celebration over, let’s get back to business. đŸ˜›
Today we’re going to look at the mythical two types of writers: the plotter, and the pantster. It’s going to be a very theoretical lesson, unfortunately, but it will apply more solidly in…[Read more]

I’ve never disposed of a book in the method that Ariel described but about a year ago I read the worst book I’ve ever come across. It was Christian historical fiction about an Aboriginal soldier in the Australian Imperial Force during WW1. That’s a huge research topic of mine, so I brought this book to…[Read more]

I get that!! some books were not meant to be published let alone written. I wonder why the author wrote the book in the first place sometimes.

Thanks,
I’ve certainly felt like it, but I usually use them for my projects. You can make beautiful book lights and book folding projects with them. Seriously look it up on Pinterest. Books have many purposes XD
Though on a side note it is truly sad that a tree was wasted on some certain books!!!! Seriously I do not get how the…[Read more]

@selah-chelyah I hadn’t thought about glass O.O
@evelyn Ooh that’s a neat idea for an alternative light source…however this world still has electricity…so lightbulbs are still a go. Yes their ‘sun’ is made of Ektos..think of a brighter moon. Ooh I’ll have to look that up, thanks!
@i-david Yes, I did, Extos replaces fire in some ways. I have…[Read more]

Yes yes, I know we only just finished a word war, but we’re changing up the schedule a bit.
Most of you probably know that November is National Novel Writing Month. A lot of you are participating in NaNoWriMo too (go Meerkats!!) so we decided that we’d scrap the prompt war and instead…do a month-long word war.
Starting: November 1
Ending:…[Read more] -

@selah-chelyah Ooops, missed that. A truce seems like the best idea. It’s all subjective, and as far as I know the only people who’ve changed guilds, are those who’ve moved out to start new ones. We don’t know what it’s like inside the other guilds.

@rochellaine I think your thoughts make perfect sense. I agree that there’s a bit much romance in there. At the same time, one reason I really like the Emily books is that they portray the confusion and “melodrama” that occurs a lot in our world.  There’s where I disagree with you. đŸ˜‰ While I definitely don’t love all the romance in those boo…[Read more]
