@karthmin It would depend on if the “I” in this story is literally me, or if this a story prompt where “I” is just a suggestion that I think about it like it was actually me. If that makes sense.
If it was literally me, I would do what @kelly-lundgren did and apologize and go die in a corner.
But if this is more of a story prompt, then the…[Read more]

@eden-anderson To be honest I kinda just went and stole tags from ncstokes thread about her blog. I must of misread something. My mistake! Thanks for checking it out anyways!

@catwing I’m kinda in the spot where I don’t know enough to know what I don’t know, so I don’t have any questions at the moment. 😉 Thank you for the offer! If I think of anything I will ask.

@ericawordsmith I think what happened is I ate some chocolate with nuts when I was younger, (I’m allergic), got sick, and then just associated chocolate with getting sick for forevermore. You’re making me crave white chocolate now, though. I love white chocolate…
Thanks for checking it out! Yeah, making a cake is spending hours for a huge mess.…[Read more]

I would be a peregrine falcon or a dolphin. I think flying would be SUPER AWESOME, and the peregrine falcon can dive really fast. But dolphins have close bonds with their pods, and they play with each other, so that would be cool too.

@i-david Could Marvel have done better? Probably not. There were so many heroes, so many things that needed to happen, they really did an amazing job.
Could Infinity War have been better? I think so. It was not a perfect movie. There are many ways that the heroes could have defeated Thanos earlier. (Have you seen How it should have ended? It’s…[Read more]

@hope-ann That sounds like a really good story! I don’t know exactly how we do things either, this is only the third prompt since I have joined and the writing process has been really different every time. 😉 I think it would be great it you could write it.

Guys, it’s Monday and we haven’t decided what to do yet. Please, come help! Even if you can’t help write, just dropping in and adding a small comment would be great. The awesome thing about group projects is that people can build off of each other and even small comments can inspire great ideas.

@pursuewisdom I’m glad I could help! I also forgot to put Thor: Ragnarok on that list, but the first scene of Infinity War is about the ending of Thor Ragnarok, so it is kinda important to watch too.

Princess Foo replied to the topic Infinity War [SPOILER PRONE] in the forum General Writing Discussions 7 years, 6 months ago
@pursuewisdom You definitely need to watch several of the movies before Infinity War. The movie won’t really make sense otherwise. How many though, depends on how familiar you are with the characters. You can watch Captain America 2 without watching the first if you already know Steve’s backstory. I’m kinda assuming the question is “What is the…[Read more]

1. Fantasy. *wiggles fingers mysteriously* I like retelling and unique magic systems.
2. I actually keep jumping between stories right now. I can’t get past the first couple pages, so I just switch to something else and hoping characters start revealing themselves to me. Right now I am trying a loose Little Red Riding Hood retelling that I have…[Read more]

@r-m-archer It’s From a High Tower by Mercedes Lackey. This is the first book that I have read of hers, but I have heard she is good and has written a TON of books so I am really excited. The story is part Rapunzel retelling, part Anne Oakley, part elemental magic. It has no romance, and unless I just completely zoned out on any language (which…[Read more]

@sarah-inkdragon I love fantasy! I particularly love unique magic systems and fleshed out worlds. I also love fairytale retellings.
My least favorite tropes? I dislike a lot of contemporary fantasy where the MC is thrust into a secret world, because they spend to much time insisting this isn’t real, and this doesn’t make sense, and not knowing…[Read more]

@karthmin A couple year ago I wrote a story where the MC’s adoptive father was killed before her eyes by a man who claimed to be a mythical race. She has since realized that the man had been insane since 1) the mythical race did not exist and 2) the stories about the mythical race did not line up with the man’s story. However, at the beginning of…[Read more]
