@noahlitle Love the idea! Continue writing! The song Misty is perfect, although I’m curious about the 2nd one and plan to listen to that as well. But personally I’m really sold on the Misty. 🙂

Wow, thanks for sharing that video, as someone who can get too caught up in research instead of actually writing, I felt like I needed to hear that. I suppose that is part of how I get in the way of inspiration. Often it’s all research for the writing project I am working on, but sometimes I spend time doing more research when I really…[Read more]

You’re right that so often what pulls most of us into a story is the sense of wonder it gives us. Loved reading your thoughts on Tolkien’s Unfinished Tales.
I think part of a book’s charm is how well it’s written, and how well it speaks. I believe Tolkien spent years creating his world and writing the stories themselves, but Lord of…[Read more]

Well it’s harder for me to measure how I did since I’m not counting words, I haven’t reached my goal of my story being ready yet. But I did fill in the plot holes, and fix up two scenes. I improved on my theme, added another scene, and did more research on the rules of writing thanks to a certain someone. All this sounds like a…[Read more]

Yay! Another war! 🙂 Thanks for tagging me again Eden. Last week, I got further toward my goal of finishing editing, but not close enough. Must work harder this week!
Congrats on writing the most words last week! 🙂 Way to go!

Thank you, as you can see that sort of proof reading is not my strong suit. 🙂 And I’m definitely going to keep this all in mind before I publish or republish anything else. I tend to focus more on the story than the format in which it is presented because for some reason most of this stuff I haven’t heard of before. I read your…[Read more]

Wow! Okay that was a well thought out answer. I see your point and I will be looking into how to fix these issues in the rewrite. Thank you for pointing those out! No one had brought those points up before, so I really appreciate it. 🙂So much to do now. But before I start really planning how to fix all this, I wanted to ask if you…[Read more]

Wow, that’s a lot to think of. First of all, thank you so much for reading my book, I really appreciate that. 🙂 Second, no it doesn’t come off as judgmental or anything, I’m aware that I need all the feedback I can get, and I’m grateful for all of it. Each bit of feedback helps me become a better writer. After reading your list…[Read more]

Caught off guard, my heart beating a bit faster than usual, but I knew it would return to normal in a minute. I smile at the newcomer. “No, not too frightened. Reminded me of a little brother for a moment, he had a tendency to spring up from unexpected places to. Good to see you, Corissa.”

@r-m-archer
Stories needing to simmer was something I had experienced as well. Briefly I wondered how long a good story needed to simmer. Some of my stories had been simmering for the past five years. Possibly longer.“Ah I see. Yes, before this I designed my own covers, it’s pretty easy on Amazon. But not very impressive looking. However, one of…[Read more]

Wow, a novel sounds like such a lofty goal! At least for someone like me that sticks to short stories. And the premise did not fail to be intriguing.
“Sounds like an awesome premise though, I like the sound of it already. I understand what it’s like when you’re at that point in the writing process. You know most of the events that…[Read more]
