If you’re using a drawing tablet hooked to a computer, or a stylus pen on a touch pad I’d recommend FireAlpaca personally. It’s a good drawing program and it’s FREE.

Oh that’s fine, the clothes are just… hard to explain. But yeah, you just do what works for you!
I love Hemlock, he’s such a pretty boy. -

The scar on his cheek is just there because I made him on a program and they only had those two scars together and I couldn’t figure out how to take that one off, it’s not supposed to be there.
The marks on his forehead are tattoos. You can do them if you want to, and you could simplify them too, you don’t have to draw everything…[Read more] -

This is Hemlock, he has a scar on his lip that’s from an insult battle he won, the other guy was a sore loser and threw a knife at him.

I like to read mild horror for inspiration. Horror books are interesting, and if you look closely you can see themes in them, they’re just like any other genre, you still have to be careful what you read, but keep in mind that your horror is up to you, you decide what horror is and how you can show people god’s hand through it.

I’d love for you to draw Hemlock!
His hair usually has gentle waves because he keeps it out of the way up in a kind of twisting braid, when its down it comes down to his lower back. he wears dark colors and prefers leather and has a cloak with a hood that he prefers to keep down to show off his pretty face. -

Okay, I have two for people to choose from.
Hemlock: Sassy elf bard. Pale Caucasian with wavy black hair down to his shoulder blades and bright green eyes, uses either dual daggers or magic in combat. Also plays a mandolin. outfit is mainly leather and he has a cloak.
Azrail: (For anyone who enjoys drawing anthropomorphic characters and the…[Read more]

Not sure if this helps, but….
One of my characters (who I’ll just call Loki) is very quiet, he’s not super shy but he doesn’t like to speak unless it’s necessary. One of the ways I help myself to portray this better is to dig deeper. Why is Loki so quiet? Was he always this way?
In Loki’s case, he’s a ex-villain now working with the heroes.…[Read more] -

Oh my goodness, this article is amazing!
I have a few friends who just got interested in writing. Their books are interesting, engaging, and also consist mainly out of info dumps.
I knew that I could help them somehow because I’ve pushed past info dumping in my own stories, but I could never find a good way to explain how to avoid it until…[Read more] -

I have a lot of characters who are Kings/other types of Royalty or Nobles, and a normal conversation between characters goes like this:
King Joffrey: Ah, Sir Duncan! A pleasure to meet you.
Sir Duncan: Thank you, your majesty. It is an honor to be in your presence.
King Joffrey: Oh please Sir Duncan, you need not tremble at my presence, we are…[Read more]
