I’ve been reading a lot about the similarties between Christ and the church and the bride and groom. So I painted this yesterday and I figured it fit psalm 45.
10 Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; forget also thine own people, and thy father’s house; 11 So shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: for he is thy Lord; and w…[Read more]

@audrey-the-author I’m right there with ya. Though, I still feel guilty when I use it. I’m not sure why haha. However when reading I don’t mind it at all. I just read over it. I think that we, as writers, tend to think about it way too much. Ofcourse I wouldn’t put it after every sentence of dialogue, but it can still be a usefull word every now…[Read more]

@k-a-grey I love it actually! Especially the symbolism in it, with the open door and everything. Lovely! <3 Did you do this in watercolor? It seems to be a little shaky but that could be because of the Bible’s thin paper. Other than that I think it looks great!

@kb-writer Thank you so much for taking the time to do this! Those are some great tips. Especially the one about stanza 8. Makes perfect sense. I feel meter will be something I’ll struggle with, but I can’t wait to learn more.
I’m glad you like the poem!
@libby That’s a big compiment. Thank you! Thanks for the tips I really appreciate it (:

@h-jones I think making one completed piece per week would be a great idea! And I would love to critique them whenever you like (:
Well it’s kind of a long story. I haven’t been able to go to school since I was 16 years old because of chronic illness (I’m 21 now). I was perfectly healthy before. This really was a time the Lord called me to Him. I…[Read more]

@evelyn O thank you! That’s very kind of you to take the time to do so (: I did not know about the hours part, but it makes perfect sense!
Haha I noticed the spelling mistake before but I could not edit the post anymore. It was supposed to be ”it feels”.
Thank you once again! Is there a place I can read your poems? I’m super curious (:

@h-jones Yay! I’m happy you are so motivated! <3
It all depends on you really. There are no rules for it. However the more you paint the quicker you will see improvement. So try to paint whenever you can and feel like it. Don’t force yourself too much, keep it fun! I myself draw everyday but I don’t beat myself up when I skip a day. I don’t have…[Read more]

@eden-anderson O thank you! Yes! I’m a Dutchie living in the Netherlands (:
@the-fledgling-artist That’s a big compliment! I actually am just as clueless as you are. The only time I ever rhyme (ha!) is at Sinterklaas. Which is a holliday in the Netherlands where we give each other presents and a funny poem to go allong with it. I think your Santa…[Read more]

@evelyn Thank you so much. (:
And please do point them out! It’s all very new for me so I didn’t focus to much on meter yet. Though I tried to give it a nice flow and tried to keep up with counting the syllables. I can’t wait to learn more so any critique is welcome!
