@kay Wow. Thank you so much for sharing this article with us. As I read, I kept nodding and saying “yes” in my heart because I know what it’s like. I’ve been going through so many of the same things that you have, similar at least: injury/illness, long term inability to do things I want to, seeing too many doctors too many times a month… I ju…[Read more]

Hi again,
Here’s a poem I wrote a little bit ago, but just touched up. Please feel free to comment, share Scripture, or critique. And please pray for me. It’s been tough.
@k-a-grey I really enjoyed reading yours! How long have you been writing poetry?
@emma-starr Thank you so much! That means a TON to me, coming from you!

Katherine, this is hauntingly beautiful. I love your last stanza, esp. because it anticipates something so much brighter and better. And I would agree with Gabrielle that your rhyme scheme and rhymes are very unique and… I’ll use that word again…beautiful. <3

@emma-starr I loved your poem. 🙂 It’s something I could feel and just…relate to? If that word explains it all! Anyways, I really loved reading it. The rhyme scheme and rhyming and everything has inspired me to try out triolet rhyme scheme!
Here’s a poem I wrote this past week. Please enjoy! (and critique, if there’s something wrong with it!)

@emma-starr Emma! You make me so happy! Stop being so awesome!
But really, thank you so much. I relate so much to Lucy Maud Montgomery’s characters…and I think I’d love Pat. I love things so much that I hate change. 😉 I am now inspired to read about her! By the way, have you ever read Jane of Lantern Hill? I’ve seen that one in the st…[Read more]

Here are the comments I have on your poem. Lovely work, by the way! What I have to say is bolded. 🙂 Hope it makes sense. Where you looking for any specific critique?

do you wallow in your wailing
while the wondrous world is waking?
The wren warbles wistfully
asthe wind whispers warmlywhile it wanders we…[Read more]

@eden-anderson Yes, still from LM Montgomery. 🙂 @evelyn
@emma-starr Yup! It’s Doss alright…or Valancy. I love Valancy so much! Ah! I still have to read Pat of Silverbush! I need to get that from the library…when I have time. 😉
To answer your other question, here’s the link to the story. 🙂 So glad you’re back on! I’ve missed you!

Evelyn, you have two down! Way to go!
Eden, actually, I might’ve confused you on this on accident, but what I meant was that the main character – the magic-haired girl – represents three different characters from LM Montgomery’s books. The first three scenes all depict the three girls. Two of them, Evelyn guessed. Ann…[Read more]

@evelyn @eden-anderson The author’s last name is Montgomery. Does that help?

Hey all,
Up with a song that I wrote when I was ten…for a world which I made up called Liberari Ya. I love libraries and it sounded cool. So here’s what I wrote. 😉 It’s pretty funny, so thought I should give you some laughs.
National Anthem of Liberari Ya
Rise up, oh land of liberty,
Against the foe and for the friend;
Under the qu…[Read more] -
