I do have to agree with where @legomaiego is going. And even though I gave some books with romance that weren’t too romantic, they aren’t really romances. If you are going to read a romance you will most likely have to deal with kissing, romance, etc. It’s just kinda part of the romance part of romance…

Okay, I’m really confused by some things in this thread (and sub-forum in general). ^^;; I’m past adolescence and writing romance, so I guess part of my confusion is coming from this angle.
What on earth do you all mean by “weird stuff” and “kissing,” or am I clueless? By “kissing,” are you talking graphic description of one of the many ways a…[Read more]

Haha, don’t worry about late replying. I’m only on SE once every 1-2 weeks, so I get it. XD
Aw, thanks! Though, let’s be honest we all have our procrastination times.
Oh, interesting! Thanks for explaining that. And haha, methinks you are right. Very conflict-avoidant we both are.
Also, I looked up 9w1 vs 9w8 and I think I am more…[Read more]

@jsclingman Just hopping over to say hi. Mostly because I’m happy to meet another 4w5 on here (there are a few of us😊). I’m a total INFP.
How’s your writing going at the moment?

I know you didn’t ask this, but a series I would warn you to stay away from is the selection series by Kiera Cass. When I read the Heir after a friend recommended it, they seemed fine, but that is the cleanest one and a couple of them have some not-so-good parts.

*facepalm* No, sorry, that was my fault! For some reason my crazy brain thought that it was @jsclingman asking the question. I thought it didn’t make any sense! Now I understand why! 😂
There’s romance in the last book!? Now I definitely have to read it…

@jsclingman, if you’re looking for something in the comedy vein, Georgette Heyer’s Regency romances are super-fun. While they are not free of language, kissing, etc. it is definitely kept to a minimum. There are not inappropriate sexual scenes in any of the ones I’ve read.
While I have no claim to being an expert, I’ve done a lot of reading and…[Read more]

I can’t say that I can recommend stories that would fall under the “Romance” category (I don’t read a lot of that), but I have read some stories with really amazing romance.
Well-known ones that I use for my own reference are Anne of Green Gables (Book 3: Anne of the Island), Little Women, and Rifles for Watie by Harold Keith. I’ve…[Read more]

I usually use Autodesk SketchBook. Instagram (art_of_winterrose) is where I post my creations. I try to post with at least some regularity, but sometimes my digital life and real life don’t balance out very well.

I have five words for you: The Witch of Blackbird Pond. You’re welcome. It sounds exactly like what you’re looking for. That’s my favorite romance I’ve read. And one of the only ones XD (unless you count Nancy Drew🤔) I am working through one at the moment, Twice Freed by my favorite author Patricia St…[Read more]

Haha no, I get that, I’m a hybrid too. Something between an INFJ and an INFP.
I have taken the enneagram, but I can’t say I know as much about it as I do the MBTI. A friend had me take it a couple months ago and all I remember was I was a 9, which was “the peacemaker” or something like that. What does your 4w5 mean?
Oh goodness yes!…[Read more]
