Last Vivian/Peter Post:
By Yours Truly:
She could feel Arba’s stare. Vivian did her best not to tremble. The girl had many a time blamed her for things Arba herself had done, and Vivian had been punished for it. Needless to say, a slave was punished much more severely than a beloved daughter.
“Talek, take the bird from her,” Arba comma…[Read more]

The buttery light of the sunset–(IDK what time it is–we had that argument like a billion years ago so…)–glinted off the stone buildings, half of which, the ones on the western side of the city, were silhouetted like black building blocks against the glowing horizon. The sky, arching impossibly high above t…[Read more]

Thou hast changest thy quotest whilst I was here!! (Love it, it sounds so you. XD) (That’s a compliment.)
And that may be a good idea. I’m having a hard time trying to figure out what to “clean up” and what not to. I don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings, but I think maybe the time for careful handling is maybe over.…[Read more]

Last Ariandor Post:
By Bekah:
Hello? Ariandor called into the sudden mental darkness. Are you still there, uhhhhh whatever-your-name-is?
No answer.
Ariandor shut his eyes. She, whoever she was, had managed to connect her mind to his; maybe he could do the same, somehow.
But how?
No matter what he tried, Ariandor couldn’t figure it o…[Read more]

Last Willow/Staria/Selena Post:

Willow woke up slowly, not remembering where she was. She opened her eyes slowly. She saw Staria with guards behind her in the entrance to… to where? Where was she? What had happened? Then it came back to her. People in black robes… surrounding the group…holding out their hands… her world going black.…[Read more]

I think the trap sounds excellent, thx for coming up with one, @rose-colored-fancy! (And IKR? Riure can’t help but get adopted by everyone she meets. XD) But now Gavril’s gone… *sniff sniff* :-‘(
Up to you what happens! I think the majority is voting for the kiss. XD

Hrm.
Yep, we’ll be RP-ing here now. I think the move is official. 🙁 (Any of y’all @rebekah12 @ivi-hope let me know if you think I’m moving to recklessly (I tend to do that)).
I think maybe not mentioning the situation when you meet in person is a good idea. I think that it’d spoil the whole thing. But that’s totally up…[Read more]

@brids-rock,
Due to some problems on the Doc, we’re moving to Story Embers for a safer way to communicate (plus, Story Embers is awesome, so why not?!). We’re still doing live meetings every Thursday at 2:30 pm MT in the same place, but the first chat doc has been mostly shut down for now.

Welcome to the Guardians of Kulmaine role-play! Since this story has been going on for a while before coming to Story Embers, if you are a new person joining you won’t be able to read the previous posts to get background (even if you wanted to – trust me, it took me over two hours when I joined, and that was more than a year ago). Otherwise, we…[Read more]

Erm, only if they get aggressive. Malvat tends to think that a live slave is worth more than a dead foe. 🙂 He also likes to try and make friends before forcing people to work for him. He’s sly though, so tread carefully. 😉

First of all, I love the comparisons going on during your description (skittish fawn and gypsy cat are excellent metaphors). Your writing style is friendly and almost Lewis-like in the way that Lewis talked to his readers as he told the story.
I would suggest perhaps varying your sentence structure a bit, though. You have a lot of…[Read more]

*pops in to say that pacing is a great way to come up with stories, especially when you are struck with sudden inspiration and have a sister standing right behind you for you to pick up, twirl around, and hug so tight they can’t breathe, especially since you get amazing looks afterward*

She knows… the words whispered through his brain like toule curtains on a night breeze.
Malvat felt his friendliness begin to dissipate, but he kept his smile on his face and his wing lowered. “Even if I could reduce my size, lady (*cough cough* he doesn’t say this mockingly like it’s normally used today. Think about how Aragorn addresses…[Read more]
