“There’s many caves in the forest. My people use them often, some are even homes.” K’Nika explained softly, “But like I said earlier, I was mining the rock.”

Kallun nodded and he and Pia both said at the same time, “Lighlorite.”

K’Nika nodded, munching on an onion.

“The thabians attacked us while we were unarmed and not ready. My brother… he tried hiding my sister and I but when I tried to find them… everyone was just… gone.”

“I’m sorry.” Pia said. “I didnt know my father was even thinking of attacking.”

Kallun said nothing. He only nodded.

“that’s alright.” Kallun peeled them and cut them in quarters with his dagger. He passed them all around and K’Nika passed around some sticks so they could roast over the flame.
“K’Nika?” Kallun glanced at the small girl.

She looked over at him.

”Could you tell us about your family?”

K’Nika nodded. “I have two siblings, and my parents… or I did.”

K’Nika raised her eyebrows.

Kallun brought a few extra fish, just in case. He looked around, “Pia?”
Her red-brown hair bobbed up about the tall grass, “I found wild onions!” She made her way back with a arm load of them.

”Wild onions are local here, the Tribe would eat them all the time…” Her voice trembled. She missed her people.

Kallun pulled out two more, and K’Nika brought them to Ellie.
Pia was digging around by the trees and tall grass in search of any other edible thing.

Kallun shook his head head. “That’s alright.” He walked over to the edge and reached down into the water, the fish swam right to his hands, and he pulled them out with ease.

K’Nika grinned.

I looked at my cat the other day and she was giving me the Flynn Rider smolder and I looked over at my brother and was like, look at the cat, she be like, here comes the smolder. XDXD XD

K’Nika grabbed Kallun’s arm and pulled him toward the River, “Come, Gorodramvy Ahiyed. You can help since you’re already wet.”
Kallum nodded.

K’Nika nodded. “Plenty.”

Kallun didn’t have a change of clothes, and sat on a rock while watch Pia pull out flint and steel from her bag.

She crouched by the stick pile and knocked the two against each other until sparks from them lit the wood.

K’Nika watched with a smile.

Pia nodded, and K’Nika went right to work to find some wood.
