Ah, okay. I’d better get to this before I leave today. I’ve already put it off long enough.
So the world in my books is an anarchy. Some characters are always saying about how because it’s an anarchy, what they do doesn’t matter, anyway. But the other half of my cast of characters are trying to find (or at least wishing) for the Crown Prince to…[Read more]

A bird, probably a raven, like those big black birds I see in my backyard. And why? Because I’ve always wanted to sprout big golden wings and jump off my back porch. And, you know, presumably fly, like a bird. Either that or a cat.

@filewriter Seen me before? Perhaps. I’ve been everywhere. But I don’t recall seeing you before. Hmmm…. Life is interesting that way, don’t you think? *laughs*

@filewriter Someone approaches, hmm? And dares to sit next to me. Those are nice blades you’ve got there, young lady. And eyes, too.

I’d say probably orange cream, because it’s soft, and I’m a very laid-back person, and often overlooked, though not really disliked. People say that my presence creates a calm air around them. Either that or red bean, because people also call me crazy, or coffee, because I am often tired, dark, morbid, and bitter-tasting.

Absolutely lovely. I really like trains in general, so your poem here just increased that liking.

1. What do you write?
I write novels and short stories, mainly of the fantasy genre.
2. Do you have a synopsis?
Yea. I’ll just copy/paste from my profile.
There are 13 worlds. There are Magic Users. There is a question: “Why is there no happy ending for a Magic User?”
13 different installments, following so many different storylines that som…[Read more]

Linyang Zhang replied to the topic NaNoWriMo WORDCOUNTS ONLY in the forum Events & Guild Maintenance 7 years, 4 months ago
This is not exact at all, but I took the averages of words per line, words per page, and this is basically what I came up with. Again, I tried really hard to be approximate, but since I had no way or time of actually counting, I took the averages and calculated instead. I hope that’s okay.
Anyway, I went way over. I didn’t expect it to be so,…[Read more]

@warrenluther04 First of all, I totally relate to your work; I played Fantasia for a piano recital once, and it’s honestly one of my favorite pieces.
Sensory images- I could definitely see and feel and hear what you were trying to say. Well done on this part.

Linyang Zhang replied to the topic CD Week 7: backstory (discussion) in the forum Erekdale Writing Discussions 7 years, 5 months ago
@sarah-inkdragon Oof I was just reading this and I had to comment about this one character I have who’s an assassin, and the reason why he’s always silent is because his vocal chords are torn out. Also those are some really great points you made.
@karthmin Ah, yes. I doubt I will be saying, ‘backstory isn’t important’. XD

@karthmin Thank you for the tips! I guess, since I took that personality test for most of my characters, I can better relate to them now.
