@warrenluther04 First of all, I totally relate to your work; I played Fantasia for a piano recital once, and it’s honestly one of my favorite pieces.
Sensory images- I could definitely see and feel and hear what you were trying to say. Well done on this part.
Purposeful dialogue- All of your dialogue did help communicate the story’s message clearly and effectively.
Descriptive language- One thing I would say here is try to lessen the use of adverbs, like ‘hurriedly’, or ‘dejectedly’. They throw the reader off a little, and you can probably describe it with words, such as, ‘My head dropped low, I couldn’t bear to look at anyone’. Other than that you were very descriptive throughout the entire piece.
Figurative language- I’ve recently covered this topic in my AP course, so I think you did okay. There are some more techniques you could use, like alliteration or allusion, but to me it doesn’t really matter if you add them in.
Significance- The significance of the event in helping the person on his piano journey is to teach him that messing up is okay. Did I get that right? I think it was pretty clear.
All in all, good job! Thanks for sharing this piece with us!
