    Watchmen (Sound it Loud)

    Watchman, sleeping at your post
    Heart unguarded and unaware
Lives go drifting right on past
Souls supposed to be under your care

    Watchman, do you even know
Sentries are called to sound the alarm
Warning of the Enemy and saving souls
City’s saved from evil and harm

Watchmen, do you still stand guarding the wall?
Will the King find you to be faithful,
Fervent for the lost to be found?
Watchmen, lift the trump hanging at your side
Sound it loud for sinners in chaos
All the cares and scars of this life.
Watchmen, sound the alarm, loud be your call
For the Eternal One returns and time shall be no more.

    Watchman, holding up the horn
    Wanting yet wavering to blow
Don’t wait. Faithful you must warn
Those who are captive of the foe.
Souls soon to be sold into slav’ry
Due soon to be doomed to the dungeon forever
Need know there’s salvation at Calv’ry
If they don’t hear they will never enter. Never.
    Watchman, this is your duty.

Watchman, where will He find you?
    Standing awaiting His appearing
Or sleeping soundly just inside the door? How
Could you to be so weary of hearing?

    Watchman, You’re waiting for more
Than to sound a warning call
    The King will surely return
To judge all, both the great and the small
    Watchman, you’re waiting for him
    To see him appear above
    Descend to earth in power
And bring his people home in His love.
    Watchman will you be ready
To go when that trumpet calls?
