@steward-of-the-pen Physical appearances are a trouble spot…I always feel stupid with that, so I don’t generally do it (which is a problem). And just description in general lol I tried it in a scene once and it felt super awkward and didn’t read very well.

This was a fantastic prologue! I agree with everyone else here–give me more please!! I love your general style of writing, although it seemed a little strange to me in some places. This is honestly one of the most beautiful things I’ve read recently. Brilliantly done. It’s a little bit staggering how connected and invested I feel with Zillah even through such a short portion. I think that’s something I kind of struggle with even when I have an entire book to do it in, so kudos to you for doing it in this snippet!
