I’m happy going with the idea of You being an author and becoming the main character of his/her story. I think @coggleton has a neat idea, but we’d have to be careful not to make it too confusing. It could be hard to keep track of which “you” we’re talking about if “you” is multiple characters.

I’ve been trying to improve this year on my short stories. In fact tomorrow I learn how I did in a contest I entered. O.O

It seems like the more people (and reports) that support such world views and feed it to culture, the more familiar it feels and the initial shock rolls away until it is accepted.

That’s something I would need to think about. In our society today we see physical harm come about as a result of lies already- for example, consider how Iceland has reduced the amount of babies born with down syndrome through abortion (source: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/down-syndrome-iceland/).
