It took a litlle bit to get it, but it’s amazing! I like the “shade vs light” theme. It’s like a writer’s vow.

As for as I know, your question doesn’t have a definitive answer. I just can say what makes me to read a book again :

1) well managed prose

2) characters that face important problems and deal well with it.

3) missing the places the characters once were.

Big nails don’t scar me most

as frozen eyes that had me hosted.
