Silent
Silent, as the country crumbles.
Silent, to the pain all ‘round.
Silent. For one doesn’t know what to do.
Silent, to the fathers’ cry.
Silent, to the burning of right.
Silent, to the death of liberty.
Silent. For one doesn’t want to fight.
Silent, as hearts are hardened.
Silent, as tongues fly.
Silent, as the souls are opened wide.
Silent, when the terrors strike.
Silent. For one doesn’t want strife.
Silent, as borders are crossed.
Silent, as children are murdered.
Silent, as people do what ought not to be done.
Silent, as Christ’s blood is trodden upon.
Silent, to the hate boiling around.
Silent. For one wishes to hunker down.
Silent, as the grave is dug.
Silent, as the bell tolls.
Silent, as the noose is opened.
Silent, as the ground trembles.
Silent, as the watchmen falter.
Silent, when people dance in mourning.
Silent, as black covers all walls.
Silent, as the liberty bell falls.
Silent, as the home is burnt to rubble.
Silent.
To save your life.
Silent.
To protect your family.
Silent.
We don’t read the book of history.
Silent.
We want to save our life.
Silent.
But you do not know.
Silent.
This life still crumbles.
Silent.
Move, speak to those in your life.
Silent?
But you are to be this world’s light.
