    Hi Saxon Scribes,

While we took a break from it last week, the guild wars are starting up again. This time, instead of competing to see who can write the best prompt, we’re competing to see which guild can be the most productive during the week.

Basically, anyone in our guild who writes over 1,000 words this week can submit their word count at the end of the week and the guild which has written the most words wins.

It’s actually a little more complicated than that. There’s a mathematical formula that is applied to each guild’s score which helps even the playing field if one guild has less participants than the others. This forumal does favor participation though, so even if you can only write a little bit this week, go ahead and participate because your score could help us win. Here are the rules.

. It will last one week, starting Monday and ending Sunday.
. Only fiction and poetry writing counts.
. Only new scenes count — rewriting an old scene or editing does not count.
. You have to register to participate. You can register here: https://goo.gl/forms/NsQHcqVfOIwJ6Ly32
. Everyone who has signed up will be asked to submit their word count at the end of the week.
. Wordcounts by individuals for the week under 1,000 words will be discarded.
. At least five members must participate in a guild (and each write at least 1,000 words) for that guild to be eligible for the contest.

Think you can write at least 1,000 words this week? Take the challenge and win our guild some honor!
