Wonderful discussion topic, sir! 🙂 Much thanks – this should help keep me more accountable in terms of my writing/reading.

What I Read: I’m currently reading The Brothers Karamazov and The Fiddler’s Gun by A.S. Peterson. Both are wonderful. I’ve not yet finished with either one yet though.

Also, I’ve been listening to an audiobook – The House of Mirth by Edith Wharton. Her style and narration and irony are so fascinating – two thumbs up for this.

I did read some reviews of The Last Jedi to prepare myself to watch it this week. 🙂 Feel free to chime in on this if you are a Star Wars fan (or if you just happen to have seen it) I’m tagging you, @evelyn although I’m not sure if you’re familiar with Star Wars?

BTW, @evelyn – I’ve put Watership Down on my TBR list. 🙂 I LOVE bunnies!!!

What I Wrote: No actual writing. Did some brainstorming for my WIP though to figure out the plot and make it more detailed so I can have a workable outline.

What I’ve Learned: How to better analyze film adaptations – I’ve been re-watching War & Peace 2016 TV miniseries (it’s really good with a few content cautions though) and am trying to learn some of the elements Tolstoy used to make Pierre, Andrei, and Natasha so lovable. 🙂

Other Stuff – A QUESTION FOR YOU ALL: This has been on my mind for quite a few years now… so here goes:

Do you think today’s entertainment (books & films, esp.) have been trying to push a more modern feminist agenda by creating more cardboard perfect female leads/protagonists? (Hmm… I’m thinking of Rey.)

If so, what do you think we Christian writers can do to counter this and instead present female heroines more truthfully and powerfully? (And being a female writer myself, this can be especially difficult… 😉

    Thank you for chiming in!
