THE TIME HAS COME PARIMIS.

War has been declared among the guild’s of Story Embers, and Parimi Alca is in terrible danger.

The competition will be tough. Avensbeck has won all of the prompt wars so far, and if we aren’t careful, they will dominate again. Also, this prompt seems to almost be tailored for the Meraki Guild whose annual theme discussion is ‘prose’ and their guildmaster excels in character voice.

What does this mean for us? This means that we’re going to have to try really hard to write a story that is all about original and creative prose. In case you missed it the first time, this is our task:

“Write any story you choose with the most original and creative prose that you can.”

The fair land of Parimi is relying on us my friends. Let us draw our pens and start scribbling ideas. Allow the rapid fire of posts flood this thread. Let us rally together a force armoured in ideas and words to write the greatest story ever seem before on Story Embers.

To start us off, I have a few questions:

Do we want to write a bizarrely humourous sort of tone?
Do we want it to be noticing and highlighting an unusual aspect of the story?
What sort of character will we use to make a really realistic and unique type of character voice?
Do we want to try and play on cliches and then make it great because of the prose?
How crazily left field do we want to go?

Throw your ideas here Parimis, and prepare for war.

Once we’ve got a bit more going, we’ll type the story up onto this Google Doc.
