Here’s Jin’s part.
Jin hurried on his way back home. He had successfully conveyed his message to Beta 7.9. Well, sort of. He rubbed his bruised arm. Kenma! Why couldn’t that kid be more careful?
Who was he kidding? Kenma was older than him, even if he acted like a five year old, and had the attention span of a two year old.
He whistled, and a silver blur raced to his side. Era was right where he’d left her.
He smiled and ran his hands through her fur.
“Let’s go home, girl.”

After a few brief interruptions, one including and boy and another dog, they arrived at home.
Jin opened the door to find a mess.
Okay, that was an exaggeration. A chair had lost it’s leg, the clay vase that he kept his limited earnings in, had fallen off the table and shattered. The contents lay all over the floor.
It didn’t look like anything was stolen, but why did he have a bad feeling?
A squeaking sound filled the air, and Jin turned to see Kirito, Rhioe’s pet chipmunk, staring at him, looking guilty.
Kirito hardly went anywhere without Rhioe. . .
“Where is she?” Jin asked, then realized he was talking to a chipmunk. He started laughing, but a knock on the door made him stop.

This’d be after Kirat and Talia’s meeting.
—-
Kirat was breathing heavily. After running across almost half the city and reaching the Knot house, then trying to find Cade, he was having trouble breathing.
He leaned on a wall for support, “Cade- gotta- talk to you.” He was panting so hard that he was having trouble talking. He sank to his knees next to Cade.
“You gotta go.” He said when he’d caught his breath. “If they catch you. . . There are no Sparrows.”
Cade shook his head, and Kirat realized how pale he was.
“I can’t, they need me.”
“Cade, you need rest and you need to take a break. You’re running yourself to the ground.” Kirat said.
Again, Cade shook his head,
“They need me, and their need is more important than my own.”
“When was the last time you had a proper meal?” Kirat prompted, “The last time you slept?” he asked, studying the dark shadows under Cade’s eyes. “You’re killing yourself, Cade. With all due respect, Go. If you get caught. . .” He faltered. He took a deep breath and looked into Cade’s eyes. “Sir, if you’re gone, who can lead? Please listen to me, I may not know what’s good for the Sparrows, but this, you know you need.”
