Where do we want to locate our story?

Wonderland! XDXD I’m joking, I just recently read Alice in Wonderland again, and Heartless by Marissa Meyers, and it’s on my mind. I was joking though.
*pulls out sheet of story ideas*
We could do a modern school theme, or a rebel group, or lots of stuff, I really think this is going to be fun as well as enlightening!

A rebel group would be interesting. It would be interesting if we could like, have the rebels on one side with some of our characters and then, you know the other side trying to keep down the rebellion?
I had the idea of a kidnapping maybe?

So far this sounds really fun!
Do I have any ideas?? . . . Hmm . . . Do we want the rebels to be rebelling against a “good” government or an evil one? That’s something to consider.
Maybe have another twist to the plot, like a betrayal of the rebels or an assassination of a leader on either side of the conflict??
As far as for a setting . . . Somewhere with mountains and a desert?!

Sorry, I had to go make lunch for my siblings.
Maybe a good government who doesn’t have the resources or ability to lead the city or town or whatever well, so it is a bad government with good intentions?
What if the rebels were basically a group that lives in hiding, because they were framed for a serious crime a long time ago, and then an assassination of one of the leaders come into play and their blamed for it, and become wanted, so they rebel against the government?
Just a rambled idea with no thought, feel free to reject it if it seems cliche, or add ideas if you like it, I won’t be offended, like I said, I was just rambling, putting an idea out there.

I’ve been toying with the rebel idea lately, and it would be great to do one.
