There&#8217;s the sun snuggling under the horizon like a person under the sheets. There&#8217;s also a new, golden penny sliding into the coin slot in the Earth.</p>

And mentioning the abandoned cups and plates added a really empty feel to it, as did the clatter of dishes out of sight.
