Welp, prep for NaNoWriMo 2019 has started way back here in September, ladies and gents! As you might already know, the NaNo organization revamped their site. Everyone still has their profiles in existence, but all records of writing buddies on there has disappeared…
So, if you want to post your name here so everyone can be buddies, that’d be…[Read more]

@tinuviel I’m glad you’ve had success with worldbuilding! It’s always exciting when everything starts falling into place. 😀 My goals have been going pretty well, thanks! I had a significant breakthrough with my world building as well, and while I wasn’t really able to finish my other writing goals, I’m happy with the progress I made. I didn’t…[Read more]

Yes, that is what I meant. Though you are so much better at wording it than I am. 😛
Thanks for clarifying!
@eden-anderson Haha, I’ve done that before. XD
I haven’t read The Door Within books so I wouldn’t know… (I’ll make sure not to tell anyone, don’t worry. 😉 )

@evelyn Well, it might be over, but it isn’t fine. It’s never fine when people do that.
Well, TBH as soon as I wrote that line about reading some Christian Fiction that was good, my brain went, “WAIT. What? You have?”
Let me go stare at my bookshelf for awhile and see if I can actually find something. 😜
Is Narnia considered “Christian”?…[Read more]

@aislinn-mollisong Thanks for your thoughts! 😀
Thanks for your perspective…it’s really helpful hearing from somebody that’s dealt with things like ADHD.
@kari-karast Aww, sorry you’ve got a cold! That stinks. 😑 Hope you get over it soon!
Yeah, I’m trying to work on too many stories too, right now. That’s just the the life of a writer, I…[Read more]

It’s NOT that time of month again. I feel like I should be doing Warmaster-y things since I’m tagging the entire guild, but NOPE! It’s critique time. My short story is called Ella of Cinders. Hopefully, it’s pretty clear what kind of story it is within the first page.
I don’t have any specific things I am looking for, but all comments are…[Read more]

The question that we’re going to tackle for the next few days/weeks is the following:
How do you know if God is calling you to write a particular story?

Hello Ereki!
It’s been nearly a year since the last comment in this portion of the forum. That means one of two things: either we don’t need this part of the forum, or we do need it but don’t exactly know what to do with it.
So here’s to talking about this.
1. It seems to me that this is a tremendous space for talking about existing pieces of…[Read more]

Kree! Today is the last day of the Word War! So be sure to submit all the words you wrote this week, from the 2nd to tonight at midnight. Every little bit counts! Even 11 words…

(it should’ve been 12. That’s how you now it’s non-canon… 😛 [We have some new members so I decided to put this picture here again.])

*a grin of mischievous intents* Well, maybe I was and maybe I wasn’t. But in all seriousness, it would be difficult for him to become caught on a door handle by the pocket of his sweat-shirt.

Yeah! And would he even be able to eat? Would he be paralyzed from the neck down?

So…can he at least walk around? I don’t need him to be fighting — in fact, it’s great that he can’t since it gives him an excuse to be cowardly — but it would be best if he didn’t have to stay in bed all day for weeks.
Can he use his other arm?

Just a quick reminder that the Word War is over halfway over, so be sure to write some words! Every little bit adds up and sometimes that’s the little bit that helps us win.
If you want to update your counts throughout the week on the spreadsheet leaderboard.

Hey Ereki!
Just wanted to pop in this portion of the forum because I feel like it’s been a bit of a ghost town ever since SE’s short story contest caused a bit of a rush of activity here.
I’m admittedly one of the worst of us at actually critiquing other people’s things. I don’t make the time that I ought to for it. But despite that, I do want…[Read more]
