<p>When I write I have a bad habit of ending on a dramatic note. Not a cliff hanger necessarily, but there is definitely dramatic music playing in the background when my chapters end. Does anyone have any tips on how not to overdo this technique?</p>

Only you have to stretch it out more. So each book of the series would have the 6 basic plot points and looking at the series as a whole you&#8217;d be able to see the 6 points as well. I like the freedom of other worlds and the lesser need of getting all the facts right. I was also a highly imaginative child (HA.
