@julia, I thought it was great! I’d like to read some more of this story 🙂
Ok, here’s mine. Not so good one
Aiden stared at Anne’s cabin across from him. He glared at the door in frustration. Already he felt fear for the coming loss of the little pirate girl who had gone to stay with her family.
“Hello,” Peter said, making Aiden jump. “Mind if I sit?”
“Go ahead,” he said. It would be nice to have company.
“It’s going to be so different one she’s-” Peter stopped without finishing his sentence and Aiden guessed his voice had failed him again. They would both miss the pirate when she was gone.A lot better one
Aiden sat with his back against the wall across from Anne’s cabin. He stared at the low door as he twisted a length of twine between his fingers. Frustration and fear welled up inside him as he glared accusingly at the cabin door. As if it were to blame for the lack of young pirate beyond it’s wooden frame.
“Mind if I join you?” Aiden jumped as Peter’s voice broke the creaky silence of the ship.
“No, go ahead,” Aiden said. Peter slumped down beside Aiden and nodded towards the door.
“Sure will be different when she’s-” his voice failed and he shook his head, but they both knew the end to that sentence. When she’s gone.
