Rolena Hatfield

Wow! Guys! We have almost 48k words for this month’s word war!

We need to be sure to stay on top of this and not procrastinate and think we have the whole month to get around to it! *is so very guilty of this herself*

If we could write (on average) 500 words per day, per person, from now until the end of the month, that would be 190k more words.…[Read more]

I’m realizing that my story is not ready for NaNo yet… :'( So, while I’m still working on it diligently, I’m not going to force it and try to write a bunch of words when neither the author nor the story is ready.

BUT, I can be a cheerleader for everyone who’s sticking with it and…[Read more]

I hope I am responding correctly…Still trying to get used to this 🙂

It’s funny: Short stories is less of a skill and more of an I-don’t-have-enough-ideas-for-an-entire-novel thing 🙂 So, if I could actually come up with more stuff, or get inspiration from others (*wink* *wink* that’s why I’m here), I would be able to write…[Read more]

Thanks, dear!

“serious (Christian, homeschooled) trash talk” xD

WOOOOOOOW

72000 words?! O.o

That’s…nuts. Yay for everybody’s insane number of words,…[Read more]

@scribbles  That exert was adorable. I find myself wanting to know more.

@wordsmith @rolena-hatfield @graceabounds2129

Here is an exert from my original wip.

Note: The character in this situation is walking down an overgrown path on his way to see the kings Mutante. This scene makes more sence in context. 🙂

[“Aah” I didn’t even see it comi…[Read more]

Thank you both! 😀

@missfaeriekaiti

That name really is neat! I love rock and mineral names. Actually…I just love rocks and minerals in any context. 😀

@rolena-hatfield

I know! xD I think I’m going to have his ankle be broken, because I need him stuck with Evangeline for a while. He’s so desperate to get away from people and close himself off that it’s going to…[Read more]

@rolena-hatfield Thank you! I’m trying to be extra creative with names in this story because everyone has to have a name relating to nature, or they’re a weirdo. xD Kelli’s given name is “Kelp,” and no one bats an eye; but my MC’s stepmom’s name is “Candy,” and everyone thinks it’s the most disturbing thing ever.

@wordsmith @rolena-hatfield @graceabounds2129

Evangeline and Peter have met!!!!! *squeals*

Berry the squirrel tried to be friends with Peter, but Peter freaked out (because he hates squirrels and she came out of nowhere) and got his foot caught between some rocks. His ankle is either badly wrenched or broken (haven’t decided yet), and Berry…[Read more]

Well done! It’s so nice that we had you join us… just in time! 🙂

Thanks! #emotionallyhurtcharacters

@missfaeriekaiti

Yeah!!! DEK COUNT BUDDY!

@rolena-hatfield

Oh! That sounds fun… lemme go look.

@rolena-hatfield Okay, cool

@brie-donning I’m gonna count them because you started late because of timezones and weird stuff and that was early enough in the day that it’s fair.  Thanks for being honest though!

@missfaeriekaiti wow fab.  Nice work!

Good work ya’ll! I’m gonna settle in for my final run. Pray for mental speed and…[Read more]

Yay! I haven’t written any yet today… but go you!

Remember… thirty four words a minute will give you 2000 words in an hour. On a google doc 34 words is a little under two lines of text. If you can get three lines of text every minute, you’re ahead of schedule (with the goal of 2000 words in an h…[Read more]

~500 words so far this morning, and now I’m caffeinated and settled in for a while. 😀 Will report back when I take a break for my midday thing. 😛

@brie-donning That’s fabulous!

Hey guys (@Coralie) tomorrow is the last day of the word war!

We’re gonna be short on words if we don’t all kick it up a notch.  We want to notch our third victory, so here’s a call to arms!

I actually got a few words written today (648, to be exact) and also I’ve written pages and pages and pages of character outlines, but those don’t count.…[Read more]

Posting my word count for the day followed by my all time for the war: This day I finished at 1672! That leaves me at 6360 all war!

Rillumen! A quick note… I think we have a strong start… but let me remind you that all the guilds can easily look at our prior wins (on the guild page) and set a goal to beat. We have shown to the world what last time’s win was, so they now have that to use.

But remember… we get better too. We can show them what happens when a Lumenite…[Read more]

So is the consensus that our squirrel should be named Bri? 😀
