1. No, currently it would cause a complete blow-up, whether cursing or fists depending on what the stress is about. His mind will stall, and he might stutter or ramble.

In the future he will be nervous, but he will be in control of himself. His mind will still freeze up a little though.

And since he never gets off the island, he never sees them again, and can never reconcile.

3. He would slip away, quietly.

In the future he would likely feel protective, and try to get between the friends and the gunma/en. He would try to talk to the gunman, perhaps stuttering or rambling. But he would do his best to let the others escape.
