Link to Julia’s website? I missed that conversation, but I’d love to see it as well! @julia

@evelyn It goes even beyond just being made aware a new book is available. Stretching something out between a series vs one giant story means:
- Amazon gives new books a boost in the algorithm for a couple weeks. When you rapid release a series a few weeks between releases, you get your story in the limelight for much, much longer.
- If your…

@julia *soaks in marketing rant*
Ah, this will be helpful in the future. *tucks it away for safe-keeping*
Yes. J.K. Rowling seems to be the exception to all rules of writing. xD 😉

Hello all!
If you haven’t seen our guild home page, you definitely should check it out. And I know that the running list of current members is completely wrong, but I plan to get Daeus onto that soon. (Or get his permission to let me fix it.)
However, what I want to draw your attention to, is that I’ve talked about ‘biomes.’ Back in our ‘[Read more]

Steward of the Pen started the topic A Church Poem in the forum Critiques 7 years, 1 month ago
Hello everyone!
I recently ran into a school assignment where I had to write a concrete poem about a church. I started with no idea of where I was going with it, so I was kind of surprised at how it came out. I’d love to hear your thoughts, and critique is very welcome.
Here’s the link to the document.
(Sorry the font is so small. I was trying…[Read more]

Have you ideas for the second and third book? Would it be better to combine all the storylines into one book?
I don’t know. I probably could combine them, and it’d definitely be cheaper to buy one cover than three, but series are sooo much more marketable than standalones. A trilogy of novellas would be much better to market than a single…[Read more]

@julia Eyyy sweet. We shall hold you accountable.
I’m doing a short story for my major work this year, and I’m only allowed to have 6K?? It’s so short. o-o Still not sure how I’m doing it, but I’m just going to start writing and see what happens.

@julia Yikes! I’m sorry to hear you aren’t feeling that well. 🙁
@j-a-penrose Oh dear… I can translate it in the end to third-person if needed so that you can edit it. 😉
I agree though… making someone fall in love?? *shivers*

At the request of @ariella-newheart, Parimi Alca now has a Writers’ Corner! *cheers*Basically, this is just where you say that you are writing, and others who are around can all write with you and hold you accountable on a smaller scale.
I mean, how often do we sit down to write and find ourselves scrolling through Pinterest boards of different…[Read more]

@julia Fun story: I get seriously weirded out when reading second person, so when one of my friends wanted me to edit his assignment, I actually couldn’t do it because reading it in that way is so weird. But he managed to beat me in that assessment. </3 And when he heard that that’s what the guild war prompt was he said, ‘there’s no way your guild…[Read more]

Back on task though. Today we’re hearing from Maddie about how to gain the habits required to write consistently. I’m excited, because I’m…[Read more]
