@j-a-penrose I actually am planning on doing it with the same group of writing bloggers again (the ones that want to do Camp NaNoWriMo, at least) π

@steward-of-the-pen I agree! I joined Camp NaNoWriMo last April, and having such a direct contact with other writers was AMAZING! (especially because all of us were bloggers and we knew each other 😂) I was super excited about Story Embers guilds because it reminded me so much of Camp! I hope that we all have a lot of fun here! 😉

@j-a-penrose Woah that sounds super cool!
I’m more working on plotting a story right now, but here’s a kind of synopsis of it:
<p style=”text-align: center;”>A patch of poison. A dragon’s wisdom. Stars above. Royalty, uprising, rebellion, magic, and battles inside and outside of people. </p>
<p style=”text-align: center;”>Esther just wants to…[Read more] -

@j-a-penrose That sounds so cool! I’m plotting a story right now, so I’m trying to decide if I want my Camp to be for writing a (different) story of mine, or for it to be the plotting. π

@cassie-hartfinh Well if you want photoshop and you want the picture taken, then maybe try looking at Mukta from Design Pique Studios. She does photoshop and probably could use your picture. Plus, she’s free. 😉

@wishingwell13 I have an Alex in my story as well, and kidnapped people! 😃
Okay, so I’ll just throw out some questions for you to answer for your story with yourself. Some of them may be hard, but I promise, it’s the ones that are the hardest that give the best answers when you finally get it. 😉 (Personal experience haha)

@cassie-hartfinh By cover art, do you mean like a professionally designed cover? Are you planning on spending money on it? If so, how much? (I actually have found quite a few places around the internet, and may be able to help you 😉) I’m planning on making a kind of guide with all the (good) places I’ve found and selling it on my blog, but it’s…[Read more]

@j-a-penrose Here’s mine! 😃 It’s kind of a continuation of last time’s. (Which was a random thing I did) Maybe I’ll eventually string together all our lessons into one story? 😜

@j-a-penroseΒ @steward-of-the-pen I actually am a Canadian-American, so I hop between spelling for the two. 😂 It’s like I’ll use Candian spelling for neighbour, but I can’t stand their spelling of center, so I go with American for that. And don’t get me started on gray/grey; I can never remember which one I even decided to use, so I’m constantly…[Read more]

@j-a-penrose Thank you! I’ll definitely remember the thing about thoughts. π I’m working on another novel right now, but I’ll definitely try to work on this one whenever I finish! π

Well, I went to 510 words, but I think it’s worth it. XD Maybe I’ll make a full novel out of this someday.
βYou wonβt find it here,β I say, my voice raw as I give a final, crazed laugh.

@steward-of-the-pen That is a great line. *scrambles to find paper to write it down on*

@rayne Woah I think we should do that. I feel like it definitely packs a punch, even though that wasn’t a fully written story.

You know you’re a writer when you run off in the middle of a board game with your family to find paper and pencil to write down a random idea you just had for a story. (With them giving you strange looks as you do so because it’s your turn)
You also know you’re a writer when you talk to yourself (out loud by accident sometimes) and to objects. I…[Read more]
