Hi Natalie! I like your choice of themes.
Ah, I’m working on a middle-grade novel too! What’s the premise of yours, if you don’t mind me asking? *high-fives fellow middle-grade writer*

#8. Undeveloped film reveals future crime scenes. /quote]
Those two are my favorite!
That’s a cool one! Did it win?
Thanks so much guys! I loved reading these!

Why thank you very much, Lily! I am happy to oblige. These 10 just bounced into my head like a bunch of floppy bunnies. I did visit your friend Hannah’s page and put in an additional two entries there in response to her challenge. I did love the water picture she put there.
Many blessings!-
Thanks so much! I saw your entries and I thought those ones were cool. Many blessings to you too!
(Floppy bunnies… huh, that’s a new one! XD We have wild bunnies up around our house; they don’t flop though…) XD

We used to have domestic cotton-tail rabbits, which were usually a little floppy when they hopped around on the grass. On my granddad’s farm, however, there were wild jackrabbits that were lean and had longer legs and sort of bounded through the fields, chewing on my granddad’s cotton. These were a menace. Have you ever seen the movie Watership…[Read more]

No, I haven’t seen either movies, though I read the book (actually, that was a while back. Probably needs a reread soon.) Who did the non-Netflix version of the movie?
Oh yeah, the rabbits in our backyard are pretty lean too. When they sit up on their hind legs, they almost look like mini kangaroos!

Hi Lily,
The version I saw was actually made in 1978. The animation is mixed with the Legend at the beginning appearing almost like Aztec art, and then shifting into more traditional animation with a blend of watercolour backgrounds. The main character “Hazel” is voiced by John Hurt.
Here’s the blurb.

For Sale: Baby Shoes. Never Worn.
Lately, I’ve become obsessed with six word stories (and no, in case you were wondering, I didn’t come up with the above story; wished I did, though 😊. According to rumors, it’s a famous short story written by Hemingway, though, not proven).
I really like the idea of compacting a whole story just to a handful…[Read more]

That’s funny! XD Oh man, those are some amazing songs that you listed! I also love ‘On My Own’ *sobs*. And Gavroche’s songs made me laugh and cry. *passes you a tissue too*

Hey! How’s it going? Let’s see, it’s pretty quiet out in the country. We have about an acre of land. Ooo, you live near the ocean? That’s cool! What’s it like? Do you go often? What’s your favorite part of visiting the beach? We used to have family that lived along the coast (it was a great excuse to go to the beach lol)

We moved to the country awhile back, but when we lived in the city, we’d often hear neighbor ‘practicing’ with fireworks before the fourth too; or they’d do it late into the night when all other fireworks were supposed to be over. Of course we don’t need sleep! XD)
Hmm, I haven’t seen The Man Who Invented Christmas, though I’ve heard…[Read more]

No problem! Yeah, I guess it’d be more like 19th century. I was kinda inspired by the MG novels The Girl Who Drank The Moon and The Scourge (Barnhill and Nielsen respectively)
I’m also not too familiar with different sub genres of fantasy *haha*. *starts researching right away*

So, usually I do medieval Fantasy (i.e Ranger’s Apprentice style) with maybe a very light touch of magic (I have a phoenix in my current WIP novel). But I’ve also tried a dystopian/fantasy style for a MG short story I just finished. It’s kinda like alt. history, in the sense that there’s wagons, trains, towns and cities, b…[Read more]

We used to have an artificial tree that we’d assemble each year (actually, it was a lot of fun putting it together; we’d do it while listening to music) and decorate it with our favorite ornaments (we’d get to pick a new one each year).
