Here’s the next part about Cade!! FINALLY!!

Cade looked around the nearly empty nest. Everybody had been moved out except the few that were too weak and sick. A heavy weight settled in his chest. If the  governmenta broke into this place. . . It seemed like war was so near. Like everything he had been fighting to keep for happening was about to happen. War meant death. Lots of it.
He hated the thought. Leaning against the wall, he covered his face with his hands and tried to choke down the tears he had needed to cry for the past- he couldn’t remember how long. He couldn’t let them out now. Not yet. He bit his lip hard. He had to be strong for the rest of the sparrows. His shoulders sagged. He had to be strong- he had to. His
legs gave out and he fell to his knees.
His head spun with weakness forcing him to lean it on his knees. He didn’t even think of how many days it had been since he had eaten or slept. All he could think about was how hard war would be for all those children. They were already being forced from their homes. Now they would be in even more danger of their lives, always on the run.
They would never know a place where they could feel safe and protected. The Nest had been created to be that place but now. . .
“Beta 7.9!!” a hand grasped Cade’s shoulder.
He jumped and raised his head, “Kirat?”
