Ah, pizza. Very prudent of you to have some teleported here! *takes a slice*
My current WIP…well, I haven’t really gotten very far into it yet nor worked on it for awhile, so it’s really more like a work-in-pause right now. XD
I saw from your signature that you are a fellow Star Wars fan!! What’s your favorite film in the saga? -

I like the entrance! *copies the snippet for future reference* Another quick question (sorry I didn’t ask before)…how big is the hole behind the plaque? Is it like a keyhole, or is it doorway-sized?
Besides writing an origin story for your roleplay character (*frowns at herself for not finishing hers yet*), we still kind of need to…[Read more] -

Glad you enjoyed the pizza; hopefully your brief visit in Meraki was just as enjoyable. π
@kari-karast
If you can still see this, yes, we have one pineapple-pepperoni pizza, but the pineapples are grilled. Hope you don’t mind… (I’ll be sure to order ahead next time we have a temporary team-up to make sure everyone’s favs are available.…[Read more] -

Oh, I really like @scarletimmortalized‘s idea for the letter correspondence! Could we combine that idea with Scarlet’s other idea about the SS guard?

@scarletimmortalized
I know, right?! I can’t wait for the roleplay to start! π
Incidentally, you just missed the visiting Knaphollowers. They didn’t even eat their pizza. *nibbles a slice of pepperoni pizza* -

Hmm…this is rather unique, having members from the land of Knaphollow over for an unexpected visit (or maybe it’s the other way around?). Well, in any case…
*brings in two boxes of pizza* Are there any hungry Knaphollowers here? There’s plenty to go around!—
I posted too late! Oh well, I guess we needed something to feed our roleplay…[Read more]

I like this, but just to make sure my interpretation is correct…
Since the individual in the story is pulled into the poetry realm after reading the poem, is the idea that the reading of words (poetic) within the realm will cause changes to be made (for example, maybe a poem about a rose would cause a rosebush to appear), or is the story…[Read more] -
E.B. Raulands replied to the topic {Story Theory – Week 18} DISCUSSION: Should you write when you don't want to? in the forum Annual Theme Discussion 7 years, 3 months ago
(Well, my first answer would probably be “it depends,” but since that really isn’t an answer…)
I think that if an individual is pursuing writing as a calling, he should write even when he doesn’t feel inspired. Pushing through writer’s block has benefits, such as encouraging a serious mindset towards writing, improving the author’s skills…[Read more]

Well, I think we’ve gotten through the EiLs of all the most important characters, so let’s skip to Week 6’s lesson on story theory and talk about the plot structure! (I’ve copied Jane Maree’s descriptions of the major events in a typical story below for easier reference.)β’The Characteristic Moment

Ah, Charles Kemp! Thank-you! (He’s probably going to come up more in our discussion, so it’s probably good I can call him by his proper character name.) π
I’m not so sure he’s unredeemable so much as he chooses not to be redeemed. Like Jessi noted, he seems to recognize the fact that he’s evil, but instead of being driven towards…[Read more] -

Thank-you! I’ll probably keep the objects separate because…well, let’s just say the object I was going to use for the portal is a little cumbersome, but I think it’d be really cool if someone combined the in/out portals into one. (Also, the portal object is kind of valuable to my roleplay character, so she’ll probably be very…[Read more] -

@everyone
Maybe we could have a situation where a character is having a hard time understanding an aspect of the Gospel (maybe how Christ’s righteousness is transferred to the believer or how all men are sinners) and therefore rejects it at first, but later he sees/reads/hears something else that not only helps him understand the Gospel but also…[Read more] -

Hey, don’t apologize! We’re glad you’re here! *brings you a plate of pizza* And I need your help figuring out how the poetry realm works! I had a couple of ideas, but I’d really like to hear what you think we could possibly do to make the roleplay work within poetry. Would you like to give it a try?@theinconceivable1

Does the scene have to show the conversion, or can it be implied? For example, could the scene ends with the protagonist bowing his head in prayer or maybe even open up with the moments after the character is saved? -

Oh, thank-you so much! (I did come up with the design for the emblem, but a friend of Jane’s drew the final product. But you probably knew that. :)) And it would be great if you could do the map drawing! Maybe we could get a rough sketch done so we can play with the orientations of the houses and such… - Load More
