@everyone
Maybe we could have a situation where a character is having a hard time understanding an aspect of the Gospel (maybe how Christ’s righteousness is transferred to the believer or how all men are sinners) and therefore rejects it at first, but later he sees/reads/hears something else that not only helps him understand the Gospel but also prompts him to ask God for forgiveness.@jane-maree
I see your point about beginning with the conversion…but maybe the story could show the ramifications of conversion in the character’s life, contrasting who he was before and who he is now. Maybe we could show how he’s having difficulties with his unsaved family and friends now that he’s saved, but he determines to stay true to Christ in spite of their hostility, which further demonstrates that his conversion is true.
Or maybe the story is told from the perspective of an unsaved individual who watches a friend/family member experiencing hostility for his newfound faith in Christ. At first, the unsaved individual is skeptical and mocks the new believer, but as he watches the believer change, the unsaved individual realizes that the conversion is genuine. The story could then end with the new believer leading his unsaved friend to Christ. (Which would mean we’d have TWO conversions in one story!)
