@anne_the_noob14 One thing I do notice is that your summary gives a lot of spoilers for the book. What will you be using it for? Just an outline for your own purposes, or a hook to get a reader’s attention? Whatever the case, your story sounds cool. It’s like fantasy and sci-fi mashed together.

@steward-of-the-pen, changing to present tense is a good idea.

Also, since Jane is judging, I think we should focus on making the prose and character voice strong.
