@anne_the_noob14 That’s much better! Especially the last sentence. Goodness, now I want to read this story. Is it the same one you posted about a few months ago?

@cassie-hartfinh May I just say, I have greatly enjoyed reading of your adventures. xD I hope Hendrik will be okay.
@caserola Oh, yeah! I remember you telling me about that story. π

@anne_the_noob14 Okay, I would suggest making your summary a little more ambiguous. You state up-front that Kiel and Hazel and their acquaintances overthrow a tyrant king, but that sort of ruins the story by telling the readers that everything will be okay in the end, no matter what happens along the way. Adding an element of mystery raises the…[Read more]

@anne_the_noob14 One thing I do notice is that your summary gives a lot of spoilers for the book. What will you be using it for? Just an outline for your own purposes, or a hook to get a reader’s attention? Whatever the case, your story sounds cool. It’s like fantasy and sci-fi mashed together.

@steward-of-the-pen, changing to present tense is a good idea.
Also, since Jane is judging, I think we should focus on making the prose and character voice strong.
We can do this! Go Parimi Alca!

Oh, I would love your honest feedback if you want to provide it! That includes the positives and the negatives. If you don’t like something or feel I could have written it better or were confused at a certain part, any of that type of feedback would be great. Also, any feedback on anything you really liked would be great, too.…[Read more]-

@taylorclogston As an introvert, I relate very much to what you said about being trapped in a small room with lots of people. *shivers*
@evelyn I’m curious; what is book-binder poetry?

What I read-Β The Eagle of the NinthΒ by Rosemary Sutcliff. I was encouraged by a friend to read this and I’m so glad I finally did. There’s a lot I learned from this book. (The writing is excellent; I never knew a moon could be a feather or the sky cobwebbed.)
What I wrote-Β Not much. Just some editing. I’m gearing up for a ton of writing in Ju…[Read more]

@steward-of-the-pen I will admit I had concerns similar to yours. I didn’t bring it up before because, like you said, we’re a little short on time. Misrepresenting Jesus is something we definitely don’t want to do. There are some instances when Biblical fiction is done right, and others when it isn’t. The A.D. Chronicles by Brock and Bodie Thoene…[Read more]

YES!. *fistpumps* Thank you so much for letting me know, Ariella! So, I have already promised I’d do two other stories first. *wince* BUT they are short. Ish. So, I WILL get back to you on this asap. π
@april-j-rhys All right, thanks! π
ACK! *gasps* I’m finally back here and I’m gonna read the first chapter tonight! π #solookingforwardtothis Do you have any major questions or anything you’d like me to especially look out for while reading? Apologies again for the delay. :]
*gasps* I just read the prologue and chapter 1. O-O *is hooked* I have to run for tonight, but I’ll be back. π
@april-j-rhys Thank you so much for reading! I’d love to hear your general thoughts on the story, characters, and the theme, if you can pick it out. π
Sure, definitely! π I’m still only on the third chapter though–ran into some scheduling turbulence so to speak. Can’t wait to read more though. I left several comments on the doc…did those come through?
@april-j-rhys Yes, those comments did come through! Thank you so much! I haven’t gotten around to replying to them, but I did read them.
