Jaylin’s eyes widened when he realized more mirrors were scattered on the walls, they widened further when he saw other people surrounding him.

What the heck is happening here!?

In front of him sat Nithel. He looked about as confused as Jaylin felt. At least I’m not the only one.

Nithel rubbed his back like he had had a hard landing. Nithel also seemed to be looking at someone. Jaylin squinted in the directing Nithel was staring. Finally, he saw it, a man. He wore a cloak that was sopping wet, dripping muddy puddles onto the floor. He looked like he was trying not to be noticed. Then he sneezed. Wow, so much for him not being noticed. Jaylin laughed to himself.

Jaylin’s attention was reverted back to Nithel as he started to scoot away from the middle of the floor.

The wet man sneezed again, and Nithel started to make his way toward the man.

Jaylin really noticed the others in the room now. Franz, Lytt, and Dharin! He was so happy to see Dharin!

Then his excitement faded as he saw Lytt start to fade. What is wrong with her? Dharin’s eyes held sorrow as Lytt completely disappeared.

Jaylin stood up, adrenaline racing through his body. Were they all just gonna disappear?

He glanced over at Nithel and the wet man, but they hadn’t seemed to notice. Instead, Nithel was absorbed in looking at one of the mirrors.

Jaylin walked closer. “Nithel? Did you just see that?”
