*chuckles* Yeah.. Let’s just say on that trip LOTS of pics were taken that I really like (Plus, it’s winter, so it gets me into the mood)…. But kudos to you for being the first one to notice/say something! 😛 Honestly, though, the profile pic makes it so that it’s harder to see. The actual pic is much more breath-taking.

    And thank you so much!!!

    • @mischievous-thwapling,
Lol! I understand your pain (even if I don’t suffer in quite the same way). Breathtaking is perfectly right, though, and your wallpaper is amazing! 😀 Did you take all these pictures?

      • @joelle-stone
Thank you!! My mom and I actually took them. She’s interested in photography, and I was just too stunned with the scenery to not try to capture some of it with the camera! 😛 It’s funny, though, how much snow can change landscape. I mean, if you could see what the area we went to looks like without snow, you ‘d be shocked by the transformation! But both–non-snow and snow-blanketed– look beautiful. 🙂

      • @mischievous-thwapling,
Oh man, yes! The mountains around here look so different throughout the seasons (glittering solid white in winter (well, wet winters (aha! Alleteration!)), blue in spring, dark blue/purple in summer, gold (or, patches of gold) in fall…) What can I say? I love my state (minus the political junk)!

    • @joelle-stone
Funny that you. mention loving your state so much–remember how we joke a lot about how funny it would be if our parents actually know each other? Well, I just discovered the other day: My dad used to live in Colorado!!!

      • And I was talking to my mom about places I’d like to move when I grow up, and she suggested Colorado! She was like, “CO’s a very beautiful state.” And I just smiled and said, “So I’ve been told.” When she asked by whom, I just laughed and mumbled your name. XD

      • LOL!!! NO WAY. What part of Colorado?!?! My mom is from the Eastern slope and my dad from the Western, so there’s a very slight possibility they might have known one another (wouldn’t that be AMAZING?!?). Also, if it isn’t too personal of a question (and if you can’t say I TOTALLY get it), what town/county/slope did your dad live on?

    • @joelle-stone
      LOL!!
I think he lived around/near/in Denver. (I can’t say exactly which) Since I know next to nothing about CO geography… I’ll let you tell me how close that is. 😛 AND YES! If they’d known each other, that’d be SO awesome.

      • Ooh… actually, my mom grew up in the Denver area, in a tiny little town nobody’s probably ever heard of named Byers. (I think that’s how you spell it). I can’t say if we live there now or closer to where my dad grew up or somewhere in between, but still! 😉
Also, I wanted to say that your comments today really cheered me up. I was pretty mad at my older sibling for something really dumb (don’t ask me why I’m mad ’cause I have no clue) and you helped chase some of that anger away. So yay for you!

    • Yeah, it’s super cool that they lived in the same state! My dad didn’t live in Byers, but still… So cool!
Awww, I’m glad they did! <3

      • @joelle-stone
I know, right?! And I just saw that you said you’re not a football person…*shakes head with disappointment* How could you!!? Lol, JK@!!

      • Sry! Actually, my family stopped watching football when the Green Bay Packers became… interesting. My dad was so disappointed in them that he refused to put any football ornaments on our Christmas tree (which, BTW, has a full roll of toilet paper as a topper, to remind us of what not to take for granted (and also because we had a headless angel as another option) XD). @mischievous-thwapling

    • Umm, ignore that @…

      • @joelle-stone
That’s hilarious!! Oh my gosh, thanks for that laugh. I need it today. XD Yeah the Cardinals are trash this year, but, since I’m from there, the Kansas City Chiefs are and always will be my favorite team. 🙂 And they just beat the Broncos last night, so…!! (I’ve always hated the Broncos)

      • @mischievous-thwapling,
Lol!! My mom used to be a Broncos fan (so it was interesting when the Broncos played the Green Bay Packers), but, like with what happened with the Packers, apparently they made some choices that disappointed my mom, so neither of my parents are into football anymore. XD
And you make me laugh enough that I’m glad I could pay you back! XD In a good way, of course.
